-Reincarnation is over. -Guild Shadow Legion added! -Shifters now benefit from normal and epic Unarmed focus while shifted (they already benefit from Legendary Unarmed focus while shifted). -The gate spell for arcane casters now sets destination location with the !gateset command. I probably missed out on something here. Can somebody point me in direction where the Gate spell is explained? How does it work and what does it do?

From docs.google.com/View?docid=dfr84scb_0hk23d7********************** * Gate Becomes Commune for clerics; when cast calls upon their deity for direct protection, providing (CL * 2) reduction to all damage types, absorbing a maximum of 3.125/6.25/12.5/25 hp of any one type per CL with SF/GSF/ESF/LSF Divination. (does not work for quasiclass clerics) Becomes Translocation for wiz/sorc; range of 20m with SF Conjuration, 40m with GSF Conjuration; 80m with ESF Conjuration; unlimited with LSF Conjuration. Only works in the same area for no-teleport areas (LSF can teleport between areas if not no-teleport). Location is set with the !gateset command. First casting memorizes the location if none is set, and later castings (or the first if already set) teleport the caster to the memorized location. ***********************

Lordy. So Gate is a conjuration based "spell of return" for Wiz/Sorc types?
Cool.

Lordy. So Gate is a conjuration based "spell of return" for Wiz/Sorc types? Cool. Yup, if you ever played Might & Magic, works much like the Beacon spell there. For LSF, you first cast it to set it to the location you are in. Later you can cast the spell again to teleport to the memorized location.

And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. - Revelation 16:17

Can the gate spell have multiple memorized locations? If not, this update seems to have removed one of the seemingly most useful abilities of the gate spell: using it to quickly jump back and forth between two locations.

You only have one memorized location at any time. When you cast the spell you jump to that location. The only thing that's changed is how you set the location.

Ah, but the spell used to autoset your next location to wherever you just left from, allowing you to then go back there using the spell. This is no longer possible at all, if I'm reading the update correctly.
Edit: To clarify, you have to set the location manually now. This means that you can't set it as you gate, but must set it before you gate, at which point you gate in on top of yourself. I certainly agree that the ability to manually clear your target location is good, but this doesn't seem the best way to do it.

Oh that's easy then. All you have to do is use the !gateset command at the exact moment after the spell finishes casting, during the time you are phasing out of your current location, and before the time you phase in to the destination. That way you are already in transit, and thus can't change destinations, yet you are still at your current location, where you desire to set the gate location....

We switched it back so that it stores on port, as well. Funky
