A veteran (from Latin vetus, meaning "old") I'm curious why not calling you a vet bothers you? Cata

Some things to consder for druids: On entry you usally have to use immute. As soon as u can, try and use Naturesbalance so all the mobs are green (if possible). With the new spells: Font of Vision and Restoration you can keep the inflictions on tanks and casters at a minimum and make the tanks hit alot more. So right after you "greened" cast those two. (and the try to maximize the radius if you can) For damage you can support the arcanes quite well with Elemental Storms, Reverse Gravity, Icestorms and the new level 2 acid and fire damage spell (nice agains the brood worms etc). As druid you can also make yourself knockdown immune with Foundation of Stone. Combine that with the new spell Tortoise Shell and you are very hard to take down reaching an AC of 150+. The only downside is that you cannot move, so consider carefully if you go for that. To me this is more like a "tanks are down/eaten what do we do now?" tactic to prevent the party from beeing overrun completely. Memorize some of the last breath spell. It has the advantage, that you have a little range to rez someone and since it is conidered a comabt action, you wont get flatfooted. Don´t forget that you have Massheals as druid as well. So spamming that on the tanks especially on the third form, should the cleric be occupied otherwise is a good option to keep everone up and happy. And since you cannot cast it try to get some sort of GS for yourself before the run (Pots or Items like the chain of solidarity). @cata Why should something like that bother me or anyone? It doesn´t make you anything and has no meaning, but that you are old as you have pointed out.

Heh I'm no vet, nor have I ever claimed to be. I'm no where near as good as the guys I talk about when I talk about the HG vets.

I classify Vets as those players with such insanely powerful characters (from the various subs, tags and randomized gear) that when I'm on a run with them a feel like I'm being dragged (you know who you are ). Nessus is a bugger and Asmo does require high DPS, something I always consider when forming a party for that run. My tips for damage is just make sure you take at least 3 high DPS builds (casters or tanks or misc classes that can do lots of cold, acid, sonic or divine damage ) I find that if your party is taking ages to get through the coil due to things not dieing quickly then that's a good indicator that your party is not going to be able to kill fast enough in the boss fight.
on a side note demi and prince wins should not be easy for now, its supposed to be the challenge of the server. but when elder evils drops ill bet that they are built assuming those playing them have high demi, multiple prince wins, lvl 80 and the best gear randomization can offer, and if you want to be able to form parties for those runs then players who don't currently meet those standards will need to, at which point making such runs "easy-er" may be good (even if "easy-er" is just doing the run with the super powerful toons in your party)
