Lootmage
Been asked a few times about my lootmage. Decided to put the build here to help new people after noticing there was no up to date build of this type.
This is my lootmage build. It is almost unbelievably flexible, has reasonable defense, a lot of utility and does very well in all areas of the mod, as well as being a very good soloer on LL and even low level hell runs. As of right now, it is level 78, Demi x4 with 1 prince victory (Obox I think).
As it stands now, I nerfed its skills somewhat by taking the rogue level at level 20. That allows me to shift 1 pre-ll wizzie feat to an epic one. Result of that is that the character ends up with 1 more legendary school instead of a pre-ll feat (probably maximize spell, or maybe toughness for the hp fanatics).
One could do a variation by taking the rogue level at 40, using the points what will be saved getting something else. Like, say, appraise if you want a good seller, craft and set traps to make a trapsetter, listen to increase touch attacks, persuade to help lower SR, etc.
I didn't do it that way, because, in practice, I noticed it never happens. Unless you are disposed toward spending 15 minutes laying traps, they probably won't do a thing. There is virtually no persuade gear that you can fit into a wizard's setup. And paragons have unbelievable high discipline and concentration, so when you really need persuade, it won't work.
Still the character gets all the opening rogue skills to 127, plus tumble, parry, pick pockets and umd at usable levels. And all wizard skills – concentration, lore, spellcraft - are maxed, as is discipline at 31 ranks, hitting 41 at paragon level 67. Without changing levels one could even get persuade or appraise to 63 at 80 by lowering the other skills a little, but I didn't bother.

Skills
One can of course buy the skills as you level. But to avoid spamming the guide, I put all the skill rising at a few levels. Easier when one reincarnates, too.
Very Important: Buy 5 ranks of set trap and Max Disable Device, Open Locks, Parry, Pick Pockets, Search, Tumble, UMD at 20.
At 41: Raise Max Disable Device, Discipline, Open Locks, Parry, Pick Pockets, Search, Tumble, UMD to 31.
At 60: Max Concentration, Lore, Open Lock, Parry and Spellcraft to 63. Raise Craft Armor to 62, UMD to 35, Pick Pockets to 40, Disable traps and Search to 43, Tumble to 60.
At 67: Raise discipline to 41.
