A bunch of classes lack Master Ego's Augmenters in the game...a few have ones that are kind of "blah" to put it mildly.....*cough* Blackguard *cough*...... Please post in this thread with ideas for classes that lack or for better versions of ones that do exist. Classes without Ego/Master Augmenters: - Champion of Torm
- Dwarven Defender
- Fighter
- Harper Scout
- Pale Master (can use Wizard or Sorc augs, tho)
- Purple Dragon Knight
- Dragon Disciple
- Weapon Master
- Staffmaster
- Divine Slinger
A generic melee one in the theme of the caster Raja one to get the ball rolling. Master Augmenter: Weaponsmith. Skill Bonus: Craft Weapon +10 Wearing this item will increase the critical threat range of any weapon wielded by +1. This is a ego item, and may not be equipped with any other ego or relic items. Master Augmenter: Safecracker. Skill Bonus: Listen +10 Wearing this item will increase the Rogues Treasure Scent ability by +1 This is a ego item and may not be equipped with any other ego or relic items. KE.

Skill Bonus: Heal +10
Wearing this item will increase the radius of life threading to 150% and add 1 spell level to all threads (capped at level 9).

Master Augmenter: The Drake
Skill Bonus: Discipline +10
Wearing this item will increase the radius of Dragon Disciple fear aura to 150% and grant its user full fear immunity.

Master Augmenter: Unscrupulous
Skill Bonus: Hide +10
Sneak attacks use d8 instead of d6 for damage dice.

Skill Bonus: Craft Weapon +10
Wearing this item will increase grants weapon specialization in any wielded weapon. If the character already has weapon specialization, it will grant the next higher specialization bonus.

Some solid suggestions, and to my surprise, most look fairly easy to implement.
First, though, would someone volunteer to draw up a list of the classes missing augs, so we have somewhere to start?

I have not seen a CoT master aug. If this does not exist, it would be nice to add a wrath +50% effect, just like the barb rage one.
Other than CoT, it looks like all classes currently lacking a master aug "for them" have been mentioned so far (maybe WM but not sure here?). Again though, some such as pal/bg CL seem pretty weak/useless; these, and SD (which is admittedly really cool to me) really pale in comparison to something like godswrath or DC ego (in terms of added power) or something like bard/caster CL in terms of build potential.

--SD could have a fresh one added that improves shadow rift
(I always found the SD one to be kind of lame from a min/max perspective; sure it's a cool idea and fun but unlike most other masters it doesn't really translate into any solid improvement of any metric or "power" gain. The SF one could be viewed a bit similar to the shadowstep improvement, but again there at least that's a solid offensive benefit which translates directly into something substantial power-wise. I'm a big fan of shadowstep but being able to do it further should just be some kind of bonus given to pure SD imo, not a master aug (and if any other new tank augs are made, surely any SD would prefer something such as "better sneak dmg" or "improved threat range" or "weapon spec" over a bigger shadowstep). )
--RDD could get +DC or other metric on wing buffets and such
--fighter could get +dmg on whetstone, or +conceal, or +DC on the crappy special disables, or 2nd use of greater parry, or (hmm could go on and on here although most of these holes should be filled by improving the base stats imo, much like XR subs, adding new items to make bad classes better is not a good thing)
--divine tanks could get +% duration for divine might and shield (similar to outkast's idea but imo would drop the +2 shield ac and just improve might/shield in other way) and +wrath for cots
--rogue, ok +TS is cool but how bout something more solid like +DC/dmg/effect on taunt or +1 "CL" for purposes of lockpicks, sneak imm, etc (ok sure, "that steps on pure rogue toes" but after all there's +1 CL for casters/bard/staffy opening up entire worlds of builds)
--WM +uses or +% duration of ki critical
--BG could also have something more "personalized" such as +duration/dice on corrupt weapon? or maybe huge +sneak dice improvement, similar to sneak pandect?
--likewise pal could get something like +1 use lay on hands/+duration, or even +1 bonus on clang enhance would not be out of order i think (if you sacrifice enough for pure and +15 anyway and rich/lucky enough for such an aug, then why not IoF yourself too? shrug, let em have it)
--monk could get something cool other than SF improvement, although not sure what has reasonable potential for power without too much abuse, shrug

BG and Paladin aren't on this list, since they do get CL augmenters, but I think I've only seen a few characters with 29 BG levels and none with 39 paladin levels in all my time here, and I'm not sure how useful that aug would be even for them. Also, I'm not sure if the Monk QP augmenter is all that useful these days either. IMO non-casting quasiclasses could probably do with ego items as well, tho some staffmaster builds can benefit from the Wizard CL aug, iirc (I don't know of any quasiclass that gets its own ego item currently). I hope this list helps some folks come up with some ideas. --Arek

iirc, Staffmasters do not have an ego other than wiz egos, which aren't too exciting. perhaps an ego that somehow adds an extra attack to tensers?

I thought there was a highly elusive Staffmaster Aug that added 2 dice or maybe that was just a suggestion and if we want to go with QCs I'm not sure any really have Egos I could see some nice Egos for QCs though. Staffmaster = Extra damage dice Lash = Extra infliction per hit or boost to infliction cap Gnomish Inventor = Profit!... I have no idea since the class could use a lot of general improvements Life Threader = Bonus Thread DC and/or Extra Damage/Healing Multiplier Pariah = ... What does this thing even need that doesn't get from other class egos Theurge = Seems to get any reasonable bonus from Wiz & Clr egos Herald = Same as Theurge but Sorc & Druid Bane Knight = Sorc and BG egos would work for it but new BG egos would be nice Bloodfire/Dragonstorm = Sorc and xDD egos not sure much they could get without making them OP Warchanter = I think other than a DwD ego option this class is fine on egos

I thought there was a highly elusive Staffmaster Aug that added 2 dice or maybe that was just a suggestion It was in the original master aug docs as released at one time but never made it into the game sadly... KE.
