Hi,
I received a new ini file from gog for multiplayer. I used the scry to add the new CD key to my account but my chests and gold were reset to zero. Is there a way to retrieve it?
This message was originally sent via PM. My mistake for not reading the wiki before posting. My username is the same as my forum name.
Thanks.

Just some additional information since I posted this. After first posting on this thread, I made several attempts to login with the new CD key. Although it appears unrelated, I am getting server not responding which I found odd since I was able to login to the server previously. I gave up and tried again getting the same results.
I tried to use a different hub and was able to gain access. I quickly logged out and checked the forum to see if I can do something on my end to swap out items from my old key but I got a CD authentication denied error. I decided to wait out a response and switched to the new key and now I am getting server not responding on all hubs.
Did I do something wrong or should I reinstall and use the new key before trying to gain access to the server?

I'm assuming you were using the GoG public key (that ships with their version of the game) before your private 'multiplayer' key was sent to you? If so, the gold and items stored on that key aren't just yours, they're everyone's who has used the public key to play. There's no way to return them to you, as there's no way for me to tell which and how much is yours.
If you give me your account name (your login name), I can check to see if that's indeed what happened. I suspect the login issues are due to unrelated issues, but won't know until I get your account and check.

Originally, I was using the public key since I had to wait for GoG to send me another INI file which they claim should allow me to access multiplayer. Iirc, I started playing for 3 weeks to a month. Before, I never had issues with the public key but since I made changes to the INI file this happened. If it helps, I had approximately 7,900,000 gold probably a litte more than since I made a deposit before I logged out. I also created several chests besides default. My account name is LawfullyStupid. Just like the forum name. Thanks.

I'm just going to transfer the items and gold to you, though only a little under 5mm was put there by you, since no one had used the accounts before you for about three months. Please refrain from putting anything in the bank or wallet under your new key. If you've already put money or items in, you'll need to withdraw them. I'll do the transfer later this evening, when I get home.

Thank you. I've checked everything for 3 characters and took out some items from a chest from one of my first characters.

No problem. Items and gold have been transferred. Sorry for the delay - bit busy this time of year.
Good gaming! Funky

Thank you so much. The holiday season can be distracting and I know how difficult to find a balance between personal hobbies and work. Happy holidays!
