As far as I recall, Raj was the VERY FIRST person on the server to reach 40 with a -HC- toon, solo, needless to say. I had the honor to be with him in the very first -HC- xul-lolz-immo run as well. Not to mention one of the first sissy and thids, without having a bot or higher gear. So much for Raj not having tried -HC-. But anyways, GL guys Nope was the group I was in including Matt, DB, Storm plus a few others long gone from this plane of existence and bots didn't exist for us at that point Shop bought gear plus the limited stuff we'd found on the way to immortality, I seem to remember DB finding the first ever UR item for a HC character in the Maze of the ancients with his Deep Orc paladin which I have to say was an awesome build.

Just bumping as a reminder that we will be making a go of this, about 3 hours from now. Also, a big congratulations to the Dark Templars, who have started taking the HC end-game by storm! Stoically forging past a few losses, then burning Tia to Malad in under a week is Hardcore indeed, and representative of the intense skill level of the crew! Happy hunting, as we look forward to meeting you in hell, and sharing mead with you in Valhalla!

I would love to see a few more players join in for this run, deeds and porticusa decided to do it 3 man and managed the first map with easem even with me rest spawning. We could do with a few more though, for machine killing etc.

It would be very advisable to have a full party with all cores and to beat Asmo (3rd form in particularly), we will need some good DPS tanks as well. I'm thinking of the shiftertank, Bale's Cot and my Staffmaster for that job. I've seen Asmo fights gone ugly because the lack of DPS tanks. Not something as -HC- party would have survived.
Well, still need Maladomini and Cania first.

Tanks that don't die at the sight of a nasty spawn are definitely the key I believe along with a bard for dropping critter saves/skills. I've found my unitank fighter somewhat more effective than I expected even in Maladomini and Cania, in fact I've almost felt like shouting 'Bring it on!' when stuff spawns as its the first build I've played where I don't run for cover when certain enemies show up. Much thanks to the DT's for letting me play along with them and I hope there might be a spot for me in a stupidly late/early (for me at least) Nessus run next week.

It is done! The wretched ruler of the nine hells has, at last, been brought down Hardcore! It is only fitting that the dominant crew of the Dark Templars should ultimately bring about his demise. It was an absolute blast getting all purpled up again with you guys! This is only the beginning!

To be honest it was a miracle we'd managed to complete Cania successfully considering the random scratch nature of the parties we ended up with for most of the runs. There are not many groups that go that deep in Hell with no bard and win in fact a lot of runs don't even happen if they don't have a bard!

Party Composition was;
Wiz 39/Rogue 1 - Illithid Sorc 40 - Rakshasa Bard 39/Pal 1 - Choas Gnome Druid 39/Monk 1 - Fallen Angel Druid 39/Monk 1 - Stargazer Sorc 12/Pal 3/RDD 25 - Dragonblooded Bard 2/BG 8/BDD 30 - Tinker Gnome Druid 10/Shifter 30 - Doppleganger Cleric 39/Monk 1 - Fallen Angel Druid 20/Sorc 19/Monk 1 - ?
Think party level range was 63-69. One player did not tag because still needed phleg.
Was a very smooth run, all players performed very well in their roles.

Yes Congrats indeed ! I'll have to remember to point people to this when they're complaining/whining that they need BUR subraces to have viable toons in endgame area's. KE.
