Aye and there are other ways to get around petrification immunities than shifter gaze. Its just a whole lot harder

which? A Flesh to Stone spell. That is the easiest to block.
If you do have another way. *cough* exploit *cough* then it would be best to post it. dont want to get in trouble do you?

First of i'm going to get irritatated that you would say i'm exploiting by taking the timw to figure out all the ways i can to take things down without hitting it with a club. Second off being clever in combat is not an exploit any more than using defensive stance to raise ac is an exploit(see Dipping). Thirdly i'm not posting it. Its my little trick i worked out and its perfectly legal by any definition you may feel applys. Unless of course you feel that someone finding a way around the petrification witch hunt is exploity. I disagree with the anti petrification movement. Its just a small step from that to assume that buffs are to much of an advantage. Its a legal spell/ability just because you don't feel that some wizard or shifter running around in circles avoiding AoO, Breath attacks, fireballs, lasers, and robot monkey pirate ninjas while they hope and pray for a one is challanging or "hard" enough doesn't give you the right to nerf it. On the other hand since its your build you can do whatever you want. So everyone is both right and wrong. DO NOT assume that because someone is capable of utilizing the voices inside thier head to come up with twisted illogical thoeries that often prove themselves correct that they are "exploiting" When used in that sense what you are saying is that anyone who thinks outside the box is exploiting even if everything they are doing is completly legal.

still, being able to have a 1/20 chance of killing anything in the game is a bit too good, but i do like the robot monkey pirate ninjas idea ;D ;D ;D

personally, im fine with shifter stoning. However Stoning a creature should, in my opinion, also stone their loot.

If the server diffuculty setting altered petrification would drop from perm to a 1R/L (simmilar to what happens to stoned players) now but that might affect other aspects of the game as well.
and its not necessarily a garunteed kill. Clever use of the armor on hit command might be able to produce an affect to clear the petrification

perhaps, but a gaze or spell do not count as "Hitting" an enemy.
Raising the difficulty, would also have it so using potions and scrolls provoke attacks of opportunity

Actually gaze and spells do count for the purposes of the On Hit Command. And Potions and scrolls Should provoke AoO.
Fic Conver
PC; Hold on a sec i believe you have stabbed me through the heart i need to patch this up
Mob; Oh no problem i'll wait till your done
Mob;....
Mob;.... so, hows the wife and kids?
Pc; good good.
Pc; Ok Done, Have At you
Mob; Right-o
Its not my fault that the sever makes petrification so strong its part and parcel of the package deal. I've never played w/o the settings on Hardcore but thats just me

Rastan you said that there was a cap of +50 to skill bonuses ya? So the highest possible skill would have a score of 94? Does the +50 cap Skill Focus/Epic Skill Focus as well?

then why dont you open up a poll to see if people want a difficulty change and why would i want a difficulty change? The only ones who have problems with stoning are the people who cant do it. Well Tough, i cant deal 100+ Damage a hit so i have this to compensate
