I'm completely new to this type of Theurge... only ever seen one so far and haven't seen it in action. What am I to expect from this quasi, I assume it does Heartbane, Plode, GR, Destruct etc... is the arcane school only really for buffs in this one?.
Tempted to make one but would like some more info about them before I try my hand at one.

Yeah, if you're going the divine route, the wizard spells are mostly just going to be for buffs - though you could probably still make use of things like PWK which don't have saves. Defensively you're trading cleric Gate for Ethereal Visage, etc. Cleric with 80% conceal isn't too shabby.

With Theurge you are either WIS or INT based and give up the DC based spells from the other for the most part. Some limited exceptions like Blade Barrier gets such a boost from Conjuration Foci that the low WIS score, 17-20, plus gear boosts gives it solid AB to be a force. Similarly a Theurge with WIS can use no save arcane spells such as PWS and PWK though with PWK you must give up Epic spells since you need to go 23 Clr max and 17 Wiz min IIRC. I actually have 2 Theurges mostly because I like playing something a little different one is Arcane(Wiz CC INT) the other is Divine(Clr CC WIS) both of mine do or will have at least 25 in one class to qualify for epic spells.

Divine theurges don't get as much as Arcane (but also lose much less feats). You should go with epic spells, so a Cleric 26 / Wiz 13 / Monk 1 is advisable - it grants wis AC from monk (and access to tumble/discipline) will help to make up for the lost damage reduction from Gate. It also packs 2 less feats as a regular Cleric (i.e. +2 from wizard and +2 as bonus epic feats instead of 6 epic bonus feats) Picking Evocation (for implosion) is obvious. Conjuration nets blade barrier, long range true resurrection and might make Orb & Evaard's usable. Necromancy only helps the cleric side - ESF Necro will be more useful than ESF Div Abjuration can increase the AC (with mage armor), allow to banish summoned foes and waste several arcane spell slots on energy resistance spell. Enchant offers Guird (must have basically) and Rebuke So I'd go with either PSF Evoc, PSK Necro, PSF Conjuration, ESF Enchant and ESF Div PSF Evoc, PSK Necro, PSF Conjuration and PSF Abj --- On the other hand, an arcane theurge can make a great damage dealer with blade barrier, Creeps with vulnerability infliction on top of karsus. Wait, so evards will still work well?

"Might". Blade barrier is much better than Evaards without the mod.
Tentacle AB is (5/6 CL) + (caster modifier / 2) + (Conj foci * 3). Blade AB is CL + (caster modifier / 2) + (Conj foci * 3).
Assuming 30 mod for main and 12 for off it would net: Wis+30 Int+12 (cleric version) 50+6+12 = 68 60+15+12 = 87
Wis+12 Int+30 (wizard version) 50+15+12 = 77 60+6+12 = 78

It explicitly doesn't work with quasi classes

I have seen a Divine Theurge in action and it plodes as well or better than a Cleric ploder.

I have seen a Divine Theurge in action and it plodes as well or better than a Cleric ploder. If pure, with CL bonus/ego, he could plode better due spell penetration. However a Cleric 39/Monk 1 would be much more stable.

What about a Clr 26/Wiz 13/Mnk 1 Theurge with CL Ego & SP Arti?

I think it would be better balanced if you stuck with the +1 dc option, and anyway.. if doing a Theurge I'd go for 25/15 for lvl 8 wiz spell i.e. planar binding, at least for soloing since it allows you to get say PF's, Mari's ect... and uber buff them with Aura of Vitality, Barkskin, Mage Armor, Haste and all that stuff. Trying to fit in Conj would be nice also, having evards on a cleric would be funny. Would probably be a decent enough ab to use in Lower LL runs like Uro.
