Brute Force (31 Barbarian 4 Fighter 5 Harper Scout)

After seeing so much Barbarian post, i thought i post my current open subrace barbarian.

STR-uni DPS tank. I use 6 DEX for uniness, if you want even more damage you could get +3 AB when putting these into STR. 4 Fighter levels for Weapon Specialization (WS) gives mucho extra damage. 5 Harper Scout levels for Harper boots that give +2 Attacks per round. And can make Greater Restoration potions and use scrolls (GS scrolls in particularly). Halberd has piecing AND Slashing damage (the best apply) and should have a +20% Damage bonus for tho-hander weapon. With OC/DC, the crit range is very nice.

With a non-open version, it should be possible to fit in Terrifying Rage & Intimidate.

This is a nice build, very solid character for an open subrace. As for the book i tend to sway towards fitting in disarm, not sure if you can manage that save for later paragon levels. What is your thoughts on terrifying rage?... since i see you don't take it on this guy.

On AC why do you have +16 instead of +17 I don't play much at this time but IIRC BUR Amulets are +17 AC.

Added Pandect of Darkest Secrets - Disarm.
Terrif. Range would requiring the feat and one more maxed skill. Expensive ..if someone wants that on this build he/she could reduce dex a bit and increase int by 2. Choices...

If you do intend to follow this build path (whoever is reading) i would switch the last two paragon feats with leg and para disarm if you used the awesome book from minauros. That will set you up with a good enough ab to disarm most creatures in the mod currently that is cursed.

Pretty much the same build I did, besides race and a save feat at lvl1

I am really enjoying this build. Finally started multi boxing and have this as my main bot tank. Still a lowbie but is devastating thus far. One thing I would add that should free up another feat. Drinking either MoaD (Alertness) or Uro (Cleave) dragon blood will gain another feat. Perhaps this would lend it self to gaining both disarm and terrifying rage, or maybe something else.

What are y'all thoughts ?

Well, using HS on an open subrace toon isn't optimal (the crucible of moliation is worth a weak BUR subrace). I suppose there are a few work arounds tough.
Disarm won't be very useful with low-ish AB, I'd rather trade a pandect for a better subrace.

Otherwise it's quite solid.

Stinger, Half-guardinal and Kolyarut are the possible upgrades.
and ofc, one should include Taunt if they can.

The normal (not moliated) Boots of the Wanderer are still very good with +2 Attacks and +125 % elemental resist. With haste + some other dodge AC boost like from EMA you can hit +20 dodge AC easily. Everyone can get EMA at level 40 from the Crown of the Immortal.

Harper Scout splash on open subbie is fine, even more so on this type of character. For an open subrace, it will be viable for the most part of both checks and deal pretty awesome damage. I agree with disarm pandect though, unfortunately the sheer amount of dex splashed to get to a more unitank status loses a fair amount of ab... meaning until maxed out everything, it wont be very good at it. Unlike say a weapon master, shifter.
