To create a cool synergy between tanks and casters (i.e. for limbo, EE) there could be weapons, or an item that buffs weapons, to decrease Spell Resistance with every hit up to a certain maximum. Mainly because i dont feel the way to go is making casters less powerful, but making them require the melees to be able to operate properly.
Maybe like a consumable magic powder, resin or something. Or or or, make a BK longsword that reduces SR on hit.

We actually discussed something similar a few days ago - creatures with SR that was degradable via melee attacks. Probably not the right way to go on a larger scale, but definitely an interesting defensive type requiring class coordination. I'll create the new forum now. Funky
