So, you want war? You post a picture of Martin Brodeur: WIFE BEATER, and even worse, he cheated on his wife (after they gave birth to HIS son) with her sister! SOME role model, he will always be a dirtbag in my eyes. Oh, and shall I remind you that we beat the Devils in 1994, in double overtime, in the Eastern Conference Finals game 7. Brodeur was in net when it was, "Matteau, Matteau, Matteau! The Rangers are going to the Stanley Cup!". Oooooh, buuuuurn! ;D www.hockeyphreak.com/wavs/matteau.WAVAnd then, to make things THE CREAM OF THE CROP, the Rangers go and win the Stanley Cup, for the 1st time in 54 years, on MY BIRTHDAY: June 14th, 1994. Nothing can EVER top that! www.hockeyphreak.com/wavs/finally.wav

Politics are alot like relgion.... It's something one should not really discuss at the risk of trampling on people's personal feelings or principles. But seeing the bash fest in here, is in full swing, I will say my piece without concern of great peril.
I would not waste a vote on John Kerry as I believe any vote for a Democrat is a waste of a vote.. There is no real Democratic party anymore.. It is NOT the party of the common man... what they are now is an amalmagation of the worst elements which this society has to offer, led by a bunch of elitest pseudo-rebellious aristocrats who run around wagging fingers and trying to instruct (and intimidate) others on how to be a kinder, better person.
In addition, I cannot in good conscience waste a vote on a coward and who spent less time on a battlefield than most of us might have spent in basic training, suspiciously getting three purple-hearts for "battle-wounds" that seemd to take less than a month to heal. Then he comes home to bad mouth his comrads still stuck in Vietnam painting a picture accusing them of being nothing less than blood thirsty stormtroopers committing grisly acts of murder and destruction... and then he adds to the lie "confessing" he participated in such acts... which in my opinion, if it were true, would make him a WAR CRIMINAL, who has not answered for his confessions. Waffen-SS soldiers were tried and convicted on lesser charges...
Of course his disdain for the American Soldier continues to this day, as can be seen in his congressional voting record, the lastest of which was voting to deny the soldiers in Iraq, proper body armor...
And or course I only touch on his dispicable career of lies, manipulation, and political oppritunism... And of course there is still that wonderful 20 year voting record for which he has nothing to show for, the constant waffling on issues (he voted for it before he voted against it), and the typical leftist nonsense which would require me to write a poltical essay.
Needless to say.. we live in the real world. And President Bush has always dealt squarely with us on real world issues, NOT try to sell of feel-good fantasies, or sell out our principles just to get some banana republic country to "like" us. It is foolish to think that America ever had any true friends in the world to begin with.. They all used America for what they could get out of America.. America has only ever had about 3 or so true friends in the world today.. Israel, Great Britain, and Australia... maybe a few others here and there.. but for the rest they were just out for themselves, using America to get what they wanted... like spoiled little children pouting.. how soon they forget who pays most of the bills for the U.N...

lol. Good stuff! That's rich, I'll say!! *sniff /me wipes tear from corner of eye
Oh...that reminds me
Iraq wasn't pushing us around. They were still whimpering from the ass whipping they took in '91 and still getting the hell bombed out of em by the 2/3 of their air zone that we still flew bombers over 9the no fly zone).
I have a felony under 5 years old and so I can't vote this year, but I can assure, even as a practicing Catholic AND a Democrat, I would not vote for Kerry. I also think that Bush has performed the greatest disservice to this country since Nixon. But I still wouldn't vote for Kerry. Besides the fact that he creeps me out:
By attacking a country who was not actively engaged with us at the time, we have set the precedence to the world that we think it is okay to attack a country that is a perceived threat. In short, we just told the world "If they might hurt you, wipe em out". As a result, the rest of the world now perceives US as a threat. And we have just demonstrated that it is okay to attack a perceived threat. We can't afford to have someone in the Whitehouse who would be wishy-washy when, and I mean WHEN, we are attacked again. Bush is a good man; dumb, but believes in what he thinks is right. Because he is not so smart, he has subsequently surrounded himself with idiots. And that's where we are hurting. Look at Reagan. His mind was decaying while he was in the Whitehouse. But he had a strong cabinet, and they are the ones who got things done. Say what you will. Bush will win this election. Throughout the history of the presidency, the incumbant has ALWAYS won when the opponent was a moderate. It's documented. I loathe Bush's presidency as much as the next man, but it's pretty much a case of damage control now. Who do you want behind the controls? Homer or Mr. Burns? Those are your choices.

Werether or not Iraq was pushing anyone around is really irrelevant.. It was irrelevant to the UN Security council when they agreed UNANIMOUSLY to give Iraq an ultimatum to either comply with terms of an unconditional surrender they signed in 1992, or face consequences. An unconditional surrender where in which they violated EVERY single term they agreed to.
But when Iraq persisted in playing their little games, and push came to shove, the UN being the gutless little cowards they are, did their typical act of bending down to shove their heads in the sand and hope the problem would fade away. Those no good fat freeloading swine would rather sit on their duff all day around big polished tables playing politics and spending America's money, than to see anything actually get done. The UN turned it's back on America.. America didn't turn it's back on the UN.. Bush in his wisdom, was the only one with the guts to come to the final conclusion of what to do with a sawed off dictator who backs out of an unconditional surrender, and then thinks he can do whatever he wants.

suspiciously getting three purple-hearts for "battle-wounds" that seemd to take less than a month to heal. If you read the rules for getting a Purple Heart www.purpleheart.org/Awd_of_PH.htmKerry was entitled to his,in no way do u need to have a major wound or is there a set amount of time for a wound to heal.

I wasnt talking about the iraq war, I am referring to future threats. I like having someone who will make decisive action against those who threaten us without begging and asking for help from anyone else. Any help is marginal anyway. The iraq war i look at it this way, the country lied to the UN, backed out several times. The UN gave them altimatums and when he called them on it did nothing. This is fine for some nations who want to be lied to, but obviously we didnt . Bush just called him on it. Basically saddam was showing that the UN is a joke, which it clearly is, and bush said, Nope cause we are a part of it, do what the council says. Of course, the UN didnt support us so it was pointless, and thus we are in this mess. I dont think iraq was a direct threat to the US tho, and bush did make a mistake by using that as a justification for the war. He should have beat down iraq, said to him he shouldnt have lied to the UN (sucker), then told the world that he did it for that reason
