The balance feat is very convenient and after we remove most fluff from the equation we're looking at +2 AC against 10-20 more phisical DR, but getting hit less is always better afterall.
In time, randomization might provide some truly OP stuff (as a comparison, I am using Ygrette BUR amulets over strongheart in some builds now) so it's hard to say now. Maybe balancing +20 Natural AC is just too complicated.
Consider a variant with "dodginess" -> some of the following: Epic Dodge (would need to be REALLY plain ammy) Evasion Improved Evasion (same reasoning to Epic Dodge - would have to be REALLY plain) Defensive Awareness + CA Saving Throws vs. Traps
Alternatives with some cool defensive utility: Activate that casts CL 55? Extended Healing Circle 2-4 times a day. Activate for mini-Miracle: with only the disorient effect, no heal or resurrection, perhaps centered on only self (not sure how easy this is to execute, deving -wise) Activate for no-save Forcecage twice per day.
The Misc Master: Lich King -style all misc imms covered with 20 nat ac, maybe with a cameo appearance by Stun, Daze, Confusion or some Bigby Immunities - I'd particularly like to see an ammy with Bigby imms.
The Say No To Spells: spellimm6 + some hawt spell immunities like Thunderclap, or Bigbies (yea i like it). The Say No To Spells2: Activate for Spell Mantle CL 50?
And as always, the respective saves for whatever you end up gunning for. I've made so many replacement suggestions that I feel bad for doing so, so just providing cool (in my opinion of course ) potential alternatives to choose from.
