Multiple people playing from same IP

Greetings! I recently started playing on this server, and I like it very much! I convinced my housemates they should start playing too, however, when we both try to connect to the same server we get problems, time outs etc. (We were able to connect on the same hub once last night, but today we haven't been able to connect at all.) Anyways, I tried switching my port around in my nwnplayer.ini, but that didn't really seem to help much. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well switching your ports is the right thing to do. Each of you have to use a different port on their game to enter if you all share the same connection. Other than that I can't say why you have such connection problems. It could also be your router or the connection between you and the servers (a traceroute could show some high pings/losses)

nwnplayer.ini has two port values, Client Port and Game Port. I believe that Client Port is the one that needs to have a different value, so double-check in case you were changing the wrong one

Client Port=5121

This is the port the client will use to connect to servers. If there is more than one client connected through a (home) network, these ports must be different for each client. Suggested values for this are numbers in the range 5121–5129.
