I think you would hold a different opinion if you knew me. Senior Citizens are so nice. Just look at that kook Bernie Sanders. Everyone loves him despite his being crazy as can be Seriously though, you really are a bit too nit picky in your standards for how people should, and should not act. I think you should make a little more effort to get to know the people that are outside your chosen social circle. If you did you would feel free to joke around with them, and not get so easily offended. Me personally I play the game to relax after work, or when I am on vacation. Kids are grown, and married, and the grand kids visit once a year, so in truth it gives me some time to play the game. A game I've enjoy playing since the 70's to be honest. I even played it with the kids. You shouldn't be so quick to judge people. Communicate with them more, instead of saying "I hate that person, I'll never run with them again." That just should not be an option, and what I meant when I said the game at this time allows you to not get along with people this is exactly what I meant. If you are bothered by something reply appropriately. Don't send offensive messages, like the post you just made which was negative and insulting if I let it insult me Be nice, because much of the time you simply misunderstood someone. Exclusion, banning, or avoidance is really the worst way to deal with things. As I said, you don't know me, and if you talked to me I don't doubt you would like me. But it doesn't seem like you want to get along. Only squabble and bicker about what a horrible person I am. A bit shocking really. Dialogue has in my mind always been the answer. Not shaming, or seeking to make people feel unwelcome. Try getting along with people you don't know, or initially dislike. You might find you misjudged them, but wouldn't allow yourself to find this out later on. Bye

Bye Honestly, it is hard to take this post seriously when compared to your attitude in game, especially in reference to the dozens of screenshots posted of how you react to social situations in game. Practice what you preach, man.

You mean the screen shots from that one run? I did try to explain that in the context of what was going on at that time. You know, family visiting, 4 in the morning, kids yammering, and all that. I am sorry you cannot take what I am saying seriously. May I ask how old you are, and what you do for a living? Where do you live, and what is your family situation? Do you have kids, grand kids? Are you working much in your retirement years? Do you know who I am? Do you know anything about me? Have you ever had a conversation with me outside of necessary communication, meaning an actual talk. Ever?
I practice what I preach, and if I do not I expect someone to say something. If they don't than they should blame no one else except themselves. I cannot know what will and won't offend kids of today. With all the safe spaces, and PC garbage that is destroying the world that comes from generation X, and now y, it is hard to placate you kids these days. You had to invent new words for being offended becauseyou get offended so easily. Butthurt?
If you want to get along with people communicate with them. If you have a problem with someone tell them nicely. Just because you feel, that is the key word, feel someone has somehow spoken ill of you doesn't then give you the right to speak ill of them. Most people like yourself speak in vague generalities when talking about being offended, because you have few actual concrete things you can give name to. The words rude, and "insulting" are very popular though, as they allow you to use your feelings as fact. You feel put upon, so you were put upon. Could it not be just someones personality, or that you don't understand their humor because you don't know them? You are too quick to jump to conclusions when you could simply talk to the person and find out for sure instead of assuming.
Don't crawl out of the woodwork now, and complain months later. I am not psychic, and if you think I meant to be offensive, or you were offended, tell me at that time. Don't wait 6 months or a year. Totally useless, and counter productive. That means you have just been stewing, and there is no fixing anything at that point.
Practice what you preach applies to intentional actions, which are what you are doing now. You should have spoken up at the time, and communicated your displeasure if you felt someone was really out of line. That you did not means it was no big deal, or that you are some kind of injustice collector, or that you wanted to stay offended. Regardless it is not my fault that someone may, or may not get offended by something. By the way, you do not have the right not to be offended. I just thought you might want to know that. Speak up in the moment next time. It would help me, and might lead to actual communication. Imagination that. Bye.

While I did not read every post in this thread I read a few, and I'm in almost 100% agreement with ssj2poliwhirl. I think he had some good responses to the original post and believe most of his responses should be implemented on the server. I am an old player who has come back on a new account, and I have to say if it wasn't for being able to keep my old toons I would never come back to this server. It's not because I don't like playing on this server, it's just difficult to start over from the beginning. You don't have enough players to be consistent with your game play. So things need to be easier for new players so they can level quicker and get tags with minimal help. I made a new toon when I got back on the server to help me get into the swing of things, and I believe if I didn't join the server during the holidays leveling that toon would have been much harder. I was lucky more people were home or off work, but now that the holidays are over I don't see how it would be possible to get all the tags. So next update I hope some of the changes suggested are implemented. Help the Newbs!

1. Give more weapons enhancement or attack bonuses at both lower, and upper levels that are of decent quality. There is a Hell Set item (Teldar's Toolbelt) which already grants +13 GMW and Keen, but I am inclined to agree with this for the case of buffs and lower levels. Perhaps an LL Set granting +10 GMW, and it has long been suggested that 2-dice elemental buff items should be available (eg: 2 uses/day). Wouldn't it be simpler to have the 29-35-LL-50 weapon to have a higher weapon buff enhancement built in? Perhaps the weapons should have higher base amount of elemental/exotic damages while the weapon buffs grant less dice? 2. Restore quest xp to what it used to be.Quest XP was buffed in the recent patch, but I do agree that things might be better if it was even higher. It was very noticable that the quest XP nerf resulted in many long-time players (including myself) losing interest in making new toons, and this left newer players struggling to find parties for the Levels 30-35 tags. How about doubling mob XP? (assuming it is a quick edition to make) - several xp values seem (at least to me) the same from when the server had a 20-40 level limit. 3. Make bur items drop in areas where only ur stuff drops, and make ur stuff drop in places where urs do not.I can agree somewhat with the UR aspect, but definitely not for BURs. BURs are Level 60 items that would drop in Level 60 areas, when the level cap on the server was 60. The level cap being lifted to 80 was a tremendous power boost, and already makes Level 60 areas easy enough. There are already plenty of 'LL farmers' that do the same LL runs over and over again (eg: DB, Thids, PoM), but many of them still *occassionally* show up for Hell action just to find their own BURs. If BURs dropped in LL areas, they would never enter Hell again. Agree on UR. For additional player convenience I'd add make rares stop dropping altogether on higher level areas as well (create less junk on loot split). Also something an oddball drop, like the proverbial rare (quality) with a master/BUR aug is a valid drop - ensuring a cool drop with a handicap without resorting to generating trash we have nowadays (i.e. faster split). I a suppose the least popular LL runs (Pyramids and Beholders) could use one BUR drop to spice them up (or even a BUR subrace unlock the first time they are done) - something to make them more comparable to farming oinos in terms of time efficiency. 4. Create a donation chest.Similar to the previous one, I think there is a difference between UR and BUR freebies. UR freebies? Sure, could help. They represent a big power boost at Level 40, which is easily accessible to existing players but out of reach for new players. I often give fresh Level 40's a bunch of free UR trash to smooth the way. BUR freebies? No. The market chest usually has low-tier BURs (which are still quite sufficient for Hell on a Paragon toon) for low prices, 20-50ish million. It is *easy* for even a new player to farm this amount of gold by joining runs or soloing easy LL runs. I have found that getting legitimately good stuff for free (eg: BUR races) is quite bad for player retention. If URs drop more abundantly in level 38+ areas this concept would be unnecessary and would affect the issue at hand. Most LL set items could be upped to UR tier as well. 5. Create directions that auto show right at docks. There is a *lot* of information available on the Wiki. In general, I find that telling new players about the Wiki (specifically quests, tags and the HG map) is enough to get them started, but without actually telling them about it the world is confusing indeed. Perhaps the Ship Captain should mention those Wiki pages. Maybe the server documentation could use a revamp to become more user friendly. Maybe the tag message could offer some direction on the next tag like: The player kills the goblin commander then it pops up "I heard about a creature (rat king) terrorizing ascalon sewers" - or it could pop up on the quest log) Also a command !list accprell with a built in level filter would be good - with 2 functions: 1 - Show only undone tags in closer level range 2 - Spawn a message/quest similar to above idea 6. Give more xp at lower levels.I agree. Twice as much mob XP could go a long way in making 1-60 more exciting. Bosses and tags could grant a "good" amount of bonus xp. 7. Put a split chest in the Wrym.I agree. Indeed necessary. 8. Make a buff rod.I'm confused by this one. There is already an Autocaster in the game (can be upgraded to the instant Temporal Autocaster), so quickslots never need to be taken by buffs. I don't think there is an issue with melees needing buffs, outside of the previously mentioned weapon buff issue which I agree with. The gameplay around weapons buffs is a bit boring (they have relevant potential considering NWN engine limitations). Beyond that it's the conflict between consumables x class features (buffs). I'd say weapon buffs really need a rework. 10. Bur and ur races. This is similar to the previous point on BUR and UR items. I disagree with it, the addition of Paragon levels has meant that you absolutely do not 'need' BUR races to succeed in Level 60 areas. BUR races now appear to be guaranteed drops in some of the harder Level 60 runs, so supply has increased and it should be easier for people to access them; I've recently been selling a lot of the BUR races I get. I got a crazy idea - how about BUR race unlocks being tag bonuses? i.e. you get one random bur per tag (this has been suggested previously). Same could go for lower subrace rarities (with higher quantity in higher-end LL runs). As rule of thumb removing unnecessary market space is always a good idea - i.e. a market is built around things that have a good demand in relation to the work needed - i.e. there's little sense in selling horse saddles in a super market - they have low market value overall in our society. 11. Remove the do in order requirement from Hells.I agree with this, and has been suggested before. If Hell tags became sort of like the Abyss Wand achievements, I think it would be better for everyone. Start with Tia, end with Nessus and do the remaining seven layers in any order. I'd add reducing the number of cycles to 2-3 (no layer penalty at first demigodhood whatsoever). 12. Implement no exclusion rule. This isn't a new opinion, but I disagree with it. There are ALWAYS going to be issues with a team system where loot is divided equally despite players not contributing equally. For example, if I am doing a run solo and someone requests to join me, in many cases their presence would not increase the speed of the run at all (or would probably slow it down a little), but it cuts my loot in half due to splitting 50/50. The reward (whether it be loot or simply enjoying the run) is linked to who is in the party. And yes, honestly I would eventually 'walk out' if partying was forced. Not in an "I disagree with this rule, so I'm leaving as a form of protest!" type of way, but the game would simply stop being fun/rewarding for me and I would move on to other things; no one likes doing something that isn't fun. This one is tough - Well what we can do is evaluate what are the reasons exclusion happens and try to ameliorate them. Is it loot? Is it Lack of player skill? Maybe lack of cooperation/communication? Low of character usefulness? No need to party up? 13. Make immortal run easier to do.Eh, dunno. I don't really think that the books and locked chests are serious roadblocks to the Immortal run or new players in general. The real roadblock is that there aren't enough other Level 40 toons trying to finish that tag. In fact, probably the best solution would be for rewarding shackled 'helpers' a big XP packet upon killing the Immortal, to incentivize it. Something like "200k XP upon killing Immortal if you already have the achievement and are shackled, and at least 3 unshackled players tagged the Immortal from this run". There's little reason to force people to re-do old content. It's also not fun to drag people. Couldn't Immortal defenses (resistances/immunities/health/regen) be based on the number of players? Same can be said about some tags - mostly dragons - the prevalence of 100% immunity + good resistance in 1-40 is really troublesome. Consider an enemy that has 1000 health and only takes elemental damage - % Immunity to ACEFS = 0/50/80/90/90 - If between my ab and his ac/concealment I do a single elemental 100 damage per round - a full acid attack would take 10 rounds (1 minute) while sonic would take 10 minutes (even more between possible deaths, potions running out) having content taking 10x more time with the wrong tactics is way more bearable than this 100% immunity prevalence. If his numbers are changed so the good damage option takes 5 minutes while the bad takes 4x as much (75%) it's quite balanced a difference of 5 x 20 minutes. I don't think that the low level content can be treated like a party server for most part anymore. There aren't enough players so why not accommodate the ones there better by themselves? (the game will get easier for most part but they lack party synergy for most part as well)

Open another topic instead of necroing one made (and deleted, after I quoted, and then filled with nonsense) by one idiot universally despised who alienated the whole server, would you please?
If new readers have to skim through all his junk talk they get a terrible impression.
