I would love to be able to fit 5 epics but dont think its possible as i want extend and empower as well. So would you go evo/trans/illusion/necro or conj/trans/illusion/necro? This will be mostly for legendary or soloing but would love to take it to hells as well eventually. Whats a good build to follow, anyone with this expertise would be great!

I'd prolly do something similar to linked build's demi-reinc option right from the start (aka drop toughness, ruin, esf ol). As mentioned in that thread, I think it's fairly reasonable to expect to be able perform nessus chest duties after killing asmo for x1demi. Obtaining the proper gear to do the job shouldnt be "too" difficult at all by the time you're past cania on this toon (and you already have other toons collecting loot).
ESF:OL is a very safe bet but I dont think its too hard to hit +50 cap after from gear+song/prayer(and gr ofc), after considering bare minimimum from setloots and added greentext props on randomized loot (hint, if in need, ask partymates for a loan before run leaves, any time you really need one it will be in a party and it helps them to help u open chests, while u may lack gear yet, its safe bet someome can grab a borrow from bank rq while ppl in ws).
Stealing doom's formatting for copypaste, I would do something like this. Feat order is how i would prioritize, personal preference of value.
[ Derail: PL feat order-- while x2 karsus is silly op, and imo one of wizard's precious "advantages", otoh so is being lootmage and fitting "4 required hell schools"+abj. tbh when 1 is not enough, theres lot bigger problems..i really think its unneeded overkill *in general*; super clutch for LL farm efficiency and raw power-> run smoothness in hell+, esp on high-hp randoms, while psf abj offers advantage every buff sequence, and every run needing dispels.
Tldr 2nd karsus awesome for sure, but i would prioritize psf abj first because it allows you to bring a lot more to the table, and the sooner the better ]
As for skills, basically same as linked build, take all the musthaves, just 1pt in spellcraft for rare counterspelling, dump spares in appraise to help you generate more cash and save money on echo restoration

as a wizard and Seeing that he said mostly for Legendary areas, and honestly even for hells i would take polymathy before PSP. Very few things in hells after green are going to give u a remote problem of SR. And i would personally drop toughness for extended spells, toughness is not nesscary on a caster. Where extended spells will allow u alot more spell flexibility as well as longer lasting buffs on things like EV and ER saving you some spells slots in the end which is the main problem wizards have. Another opition in place of thids subrace as far as UR or lower tier goes is stargazer, which will b 1 less DC but doesnt have the negative con.

What do you want Conj for?

Because this is a suggestion for a newer player who's endgame will probably be Hells, I would suggest specialization in evocation. I would ban divination and enchantment, neither are of much use before abyss. Specialization in evocation allows taking Paragon Spell Knowledge feat in paragons levels with Epic Spell Focus instead of Paragon Spell Focus as the requirement. For the first three paragon feats would then be Polymathy, Paragon Spell Penetration, and then Paragon Spell Knowledge Evocation. Double Karsus at level 69 will be fun to play. Would have an extra legendary feat because do not need to take Legendary Spell Focus Evocation, I would suggest ESF Open Lock, as you will not have enough dexterity to hit 127 open lock until at least x2 demigod.
Obviously would need to reincarnate to for the Abyss or when close to level 80, but until that point I think it is better to be a specialist.

Got access to my old account so now I have genie. Build looks like this. And conj for damage spells.
Elf: Genie 39Wiz/1rog Read Evoc Book(cuz I have spare)
01: SF Illusion 03: GSF Illusion 05: SF Conjuration 06: GSF Conjuration 09: SF Necromancy 10: GSF Necromancy 12: SF Trans 15: GSF Trans, Extend 18: Empower 20: Maximize 21: GInt1 23: GInt2 24: GInt3 26: GInt4 27: GInt5 29: GInt6 30: GInt7 32: GInt8 33: GInt9 35: ESF Illusion 36: ESF Necro 38: ESF Conj 39: ESF Trans
41: Read Evo Book 42: Epic Spell Pen 45: LL Spell Pen 48: LSF Illusion 51: LSF Necromancy 54: LSF Evocation 57: ESF Open Lock 60: GInt 10
63: Paragon of Polymathy 66: Paragon Spell Pen 69: PSF Evo 72: PSK Evo 75: LSF Conj 78: PSF of Choice
I could drop maximize, gint 9 and 10 for sf, gsf, esf abj but id rather keep the latter as the build reads. If I feel the need for abj foci then a simple reinc will solve the problem. And the specialist thing, I have never really found the need for it, I feel I get enough feats and use a lot of unorthodox spells that might get barred if I do that (not sure of all spell schools so i may be wrong)

If you take the Rogue splash at level 20, you get one more Epic feat (the wizard bonus feat at 20 wizard levels) in exchange of one pre-epic feat and many skill points. that means here: If you can ditch one feat (Empower or Maximize or Extend), you can take Epic spell pen in levels 20-40 and LSF Conj in levels 40-60 and frees up an Paragon feat like PSK of choice.

So Rogue splash at 20, got it! I will probably take GInt10 in epics this route so it makes up for some lost skill points.

Also, I don't see a reason to prioritize LSF:Conj over PSF:Necro + PSF:Illusion at 75/78. Intend to spam orbs a lot ? They're quite weak compared to other alternatives tbh, only really shine in some parts of Abyss but then you'd like to have divination too, so prioritizing for that seems iffy.

If need be, I have reincarnation. I want to run to double demi before I start abyss, or atleast demi so will see how things go. Why divination or abjuration over conj? By what I see, orb spells are quite useful.
Also going 19wiz/1rog/20wiz to get an extra epic feat so I can fit an extra paragon foci and dropping maximize spell so ill just have extend and empower.

Orbs only offer single target damage that needs to penetrate conceal while u have nice aoe spells in evo that don't care about conceal. Given the damage is higher but imo it does not warrant the talents.
Div is used for power of word kill to instagib nasty guys in abyss. and abjuration makes dispell really useful.
Then again wizards certainly have the skillpoints to invest into listen i guess and they suck major bananas in abyss due to unflexibility in spells so conj might be good, never tried it myself.

Also, just as a note, a lot of your play times have taken place when we have been doing a lot of end game runs, Abyss included, if you’re ok to at times pass on runs you otherwise could attend due to wanting to wait on double demi then you’re set. My thought would be just go to everything you possibly can for the tags, loot, experience and learning. I agree with Dash on the Div and Abj focus. Orbs are nice but Abj and Div both are too strong. Even if you don’t take Div and only access it via an aug to fulfill PWK duties, I certainly wouldn’t bar it.
