Hi, I am returning player of NWN but new to HG. I do not think I have played NWN1 since NWN2 was released. By then other MMOs had squirreled my attention away from me. I recently saw NWN:EE and decided to give it a go. I played on a few EE servers in the past week, but decided to give NWN a shot when I saw someone mention Higher Ground and saw all the content it had.
Is it best to have a separate instance of NWN1 for HG? I know I had to update the exe for NWN Client Extender. I also had to apply ARF2 and HG Extended for HG. I just did not know if these updates step on one another.
Also, should I just be able to move the NWN program directory to another folder and launch directly from there? I.e. Copying Games\NWN to Games\NWNA and Games\NWNB.
Thanks in advanced for your help. I am looking forward to playing HG in the near future.

Hello and welcome! Copying the NWN folder and launching works just fine, the game doesn't need registry entries to work properly. It is best to have separate game folder for HG simply because of HG Enhanced that gets installed automatically by ARF2 and which contains some clientside modifications such as info on custom changes to feats/skills etc. Best guide on NWN installation for HG is here wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Installation_GuideARF2 does its job well, but it currently has outdated links on NWNEnglish1.69HotUUpdate.exe and CEP_23_Full_C.7z so you'll have to download those manually.
