2h dmg really isn't "fine" currently. Anything that does only dmg and doesn't use a weapon (fistmonks, dmg shifters, archers of any type, etc) don't even compare to 2h dmg. General party performance won't fall if other stuff gets brought up to par and 2h damage gets brought down a notch. 2h can't be fine if everything else sucks in comparison; though we must keep in mind that 2h characters are what we call "richboi builds"; you need to work your ass off, amass gear, bur&beyond subraces and tags to keep them alive and bring the most out of them. But when you do/have done so, you have little room for build variety outside playing other things for flavour.
Now, I would not advocate to make 2handers useless nor to make runs take longer than they do at the moment, but let's be real. 2h is not fine if almost every other damaging method sucks in comparison even in the less 2h friendly zones than limbo pt2, and by a large margin. Not to throw shade on aoe dmg casters, but I would sell fistmonks, archers, 1h toons, dualwielders, dmg shifters, damage-quasis for corn in a farmers market. This was the case even before we wanted to perform in Limbo, the most lucrative run; even before XR weapons, before Limbo pt1 weapons, before XR gear to make 2h tanks sturdier; before mobs gained instakill immunities they didn't previously have, and before RG/Fissure/Flensing nerfs.
Edit: yes, other stuff hasn't gotten as cool things to bring them to par as XR weapons; but still. Shifters got 10% dmg increase and we still dropped them out of Limbo runs; certainly maneuverability has something to do with that decision but even so to portray a point. Even Tanky stopped playing shifter. He loved running on that thing yet he dropped it in favour of bigger and better damage dealt. Sure, many things could use buffs and some have gotten some of that sweetness, but I think the biggest reason more aren't advocating for nerf on 2h is because limbo pt2 lasts forever to do and is the most lucrative run to do, so we want to keep doing it without going insane to get goodies. IF Limbo pt2 was a map or two shorter there would be no reason for anyone to deny that they need a nerf, even when mobs like Ygorl go down in seconds in boxed less-than-10 parties. Perhaps I'm just a pampered richboy who runs on op toons in content that has been outgrown and should just stfu and let people steamroll.
