blacklisting : not allowing people on runs period rule setting: making sure the party has something else to do than rezing clearly you can not see the difference here seems like those two things have more in common than I think you can comprehend

Let's allow the sage Mr. Cage to weigh in on this complaint.

So to clarify, 75+ only applies to non-DT members? @db Nope, it is just for trolls. That is actually quite a disappointing response, given that I have positively contributed to DT runs and maintained an amicable relationship with your guild for the better part of a decade. Your passive-aggressive insult towards a long-term friend of the guild is misplaced and an embarrassment, but it is duly noted. And to be blunt: What we do for and with our guild members is the Dark Templars decision. This is one of the perks of joining our guild and we will do so as we please for our accolytes. I’m going to refrain from commenting on the first part of your post because it is irrelevant if you take the time to read my preceding message. To be blunt myself, however, all I have asked for is a simple answer to an unbelievably straightforward question. That of which has still not been answered. Perhaps it would have been better to bring this up on teamspeak instead of the public forum, but too late for that now. Any press is good press, I guess.

Kusin, we have made numerous accommodations for non-guild members in the past -- dragging them on runs, lending gear, delaying start times when they are late, postponing runs to later nights so they might tag, and on and on. We are open with our runs, posting our run scheduled on the forums so that non-guild members might plan for them in advance. And while we are admittedly very reluctant to do so, we have even accepted non-guild toons of lower than 75th level on Limbo runs on occasion.
You must forgive us if we are somewhat surprised and even a little annoyed by someone outside the guild -- especially someone like yourself having a good reputation within our guild as both a player and a person -- expressing dismay by our efforts to help a new guild member level a toon to sufficient level to participate in guild Limbo runs.
Yeah, we made an exception for Sanne -- a newer player eager to learn the run and achieve maximum level on a toon for the very first time. In addition to this being an internal guild decision, it is a good thing, not a cause for discontent.
Sanne is a positive influence on this server. She is always willing to help other players with gear, runs, and advice. She does not deserve this sort of nonsense.

i dunno. i guess i consider(ed?) myself to be in a somewhat similar (if less liked) position as kusin in regards to DT. yeah, there's some competing personalities and i've done far more than my fair share of trolling but i have spent many, many hours playing and chatting with DTs, and aside from always being welcomed and maintaining friendship for a long time with some of you, more recently I was always welcomed on DT limbo runs the few times I managed to catch some (and I believe once or more with kusin even, I might add, and yes it's always a cool webdash imo when you see DT and UT together still today eh?).
so all that said, i think obviously kusin has played hg longer with DTs and definitely higher tier than me with DT status (he's a goddamn troll too tho for sure); if he's kind of honorary DT friend or at least accepted then I'm at least hated but accepted by a few eh. anyway, i'm just saying if i tried to join one of your runs with a L74 and was turned down i'd be like uh...seriously...okay? but i'd be like well it *is* me and yeah any excuse to avoid me is a valid one. but if i then saw some L72 on the same run i was turned down for on a L74 i'd be like damn really? i get that horbag is new and you guys are just doing the classic DT hospitality treatment and that's cool but you have to admit it's a little wack. esp considering kus isn't some rando *or* a scrub which let's be honest is the primary intent behind all these limbo run rules right, to not have your runs suck too bad from unprepared (no pun intended ahue) toons/players. maybe just remove that part of the rule and make it more a guideline if you ask me. and no db i'm not trying to troll you here i swear, i get the intent behind it, when you have people showing up with way underlevelled toons, but the problem with indicating specific numbers like that is then it always makes the "rule" a little more of a guideline in the first place if it's always flexible on a per case basis.
well there's my KE .02, shrug

chirality "but if i then saw some L72 on the same run i was turned down for on a L74 i'd be like damn really?" you didn't. those are different runs and in no relationship to each other. the trolls got you there, sorry.

Why are players questioning my restrictions for Limbo part 2 runs under a post that is not about runs I am organizing? Seems very trollish to derail someone's attempts to organize runs.
I should have never responded to this topic, I am sorry for causing it to get worse.

it may be a derail but i don't think it's completely out of place to ask the questions posed above in a thread started by a guild member that happens to closely relate to those questions, after all they did say they're a guild member and alluded to the added privileges thereof. anyway now it's titled "people complaining about nothing" so atm it suits. Paradoom different runs and in no relationship to each other? You sure?
