I wasn't able to play for a while but am back now! Now, not being sure how much has changed, I need some advice on how to dive in again. I have a lvl 50 rakshasa sorcerer and want to either reincarnate into something useful (any advice on a build? I like sorcerer, bard, druid...) or start a new character.
I missed some preLL achievments like Ancient Kings and Ruined Academy Headmaster , is that a big deal? Does it make sense to start a new character having only the Rakshasa subrace or does it make more sense to continue with the sorcerer and try to get some subraces?
Thanks for giving me any advice on how to continue productively - I want to make sure I don't mess up and regret it later
Thanks Cuivie

Welcome back!
I wouldn't worry too much about missing tags. You can still be quite effective without them though the rewards are nice. The fact you are playing a core is very nice. Have fun making new toons at your leisure. Druids and bards are always sought after. I think it's a good idea to play your highest toon you enjoy and start gathering gear. You can use ur race books at 50 iirc and bur races books at level 60. Hope that helps.

Reincarnating an immortal character into something completely different would take several months so I'd advise against it, if you are only missing level 40 accomplishments you can shackle to obtain them (the AA headmaster has no max level requirement anyway).

Welcome back If your highest is a Rakshasa sorc, you can comfortably stick to it, sorcs are fun to play, powerful and always an asset to a party. Missing tags aren't a big deal. The bonuses are nice, but you can get by without them. Also if you missed only some at lvl 40, you can shackle down to 40 and get credit and if you REALLY want all (and you are really bored), you can always make a proxy character. If you are looking for guidelines, this is probably the best written and user friendly sorc guide out there. Check out the column based on gnome rak base and read on. If something still goes wrong, you can reincarnate, but that should be the last resort.

Thank y'all for your kind answers! So I took a look at Raj's guide - indeed very interesting and appreciated material for a learning sorcerer like me. So I will stick to my sorc, reincarnate according to Raj's guide and see what I can accomplish. I want to try and solo some stuff to challenge myself and see if I am able to play the build - can you tell me some place/dungeon/map I should be able to solo while also farming some gear? I remember doing Myconic Depths back then and it wasn't easy... Technically I should be able to solo the whole thing, right? Thanks again for your thoughts fellow adventurers

Soloing with a Sorc is easy once you get to a decent level and have reasonable gear, Uro, Myco, Desert, Dulv to mention a few, you'll have GV for a short burst temporary GS to reposition and Caligrosto, or other summons to keep stuff occupied while you lay the smack down on them.

I think Desert can give the best xp/time for lvl 50 but u would need some anti implosion gear. For that u can farm the new added area Tragidore to get the Implo-immune vest
