I am announcing a Pillars PVP event, tomorrow Saturday August 16th at 3PM UTC.
To participate you must have: An immortal character that is guild tagged (the actual guild does not matter). If your character is over level 45 you must shackle to lvl 45.
What is Pillars?
Pillars is a DM organized PVP allowed competitive event.
It takes place on a special map where you must use Boots of Springing and Leaping to move about.
The object of the game is to accumulate gems and take them back to your team's base.
Gems are earned by killing Ssithrak style monsters.
Teams are chosen by round robin by captains.
A Player can only carry one gem at a time and if they are killed the gem will be dropped on the ground next to them.
Gems are converted to points when they are taken back to the teams base.
Since this is the first event in a very long time we will not permit the use of greater boots. The next event will do so however.
Certain abilities are reduced on pillars maps.
Guild combat tokens lower AC and saves for players nearby when used and can be helpful in pillars events.
There can be up to four teams depending on the number of people that participate.
The event will last between one hour and 1.5 hours.
Bots are generally not permitted and rewards are only given per human players.
Rewards are as follows:
Winning Team: 5 canopics per person, 3 BURs per person 2 URs per person
2nd place team: 2 canopics per person, 2 BURs per person, 1URs per person
3rd place team: 2 BURs per person, 2 URs per person, 2 rare rings per person
4th place team: 1 BUR per person, 1 UR per person, 2 rare rings per person
Characters that participate also earn personal prizes as they accumulate points. This is how greater boots of springing and leaping can be earned. You may also choose a BUR or two canopics for this prize. Note that character points are reset if the character is reincarnated.
My plan is to start hosting these events approximately once a month. Timing may differ depending on when people are available.
The rules of tomorrows game will be light on PvP, it is possible to change the rules to be heavier on PvP. The next event may change depending on player preference.
Feel free to ask questions.
