Most shifters aren't using a small subeace due equipping a tower shield instead of flags. Given low damage output, I'd put defenses in higher priority than offense (damage flag)
It's a shame your build can't really get more out of umd. But it's apparently a good use for spelljammer.

Spelljammer is sweet for shifty tank. Not really sure what you are saying, Deso.

Skipping LSA:Tumble and the Armor Skin (given as an option) seems like a reinc at 80 type o' move, but it's possible to skip it I spose. For a forum build I wouldn't recommend it, but both ways work. Not sure why you don't value AC beyond 145; it's still friggin gud for an endgame build. There's a significant difference between 142 and 148 when it comes to tanking superiors/elites in Limbo; which is pretty much where this type of build is most valuable.
And ye, pretty sure the Spelljammer tank shitter has been the standard shifterlash where race is concerned ever since Poli made his couple years back; allows you to have a tank shitter with insane gear flexibility and coverage of immunity to pretty much everything thanks to breach boots / dispel helm / mord ring + whatever to cover the rest - you have a ton of options; and decent damage thanks to the flag. Int+Con from Spelljammer is what this type of toon needs and the UMD is.. extremely valuable for a toon such as this; probably worth more than +10 stats considering what you get for it - immunity to Dispel and OC/DC that you normally have no access to, and neg immunity/phys immunity on the flag is rather high value defensively for a Limbo inflicting fire and forget tank..... Basically similar durability to a BC except with +10 ac (a lot higher than that if the BC is 2h), maxed hide concealment, +1500 HP and +5+ saves and providing Lashy properties instead of Cleric utilities while still casually sporting Heavy Armor.
Shitterlash sure could use a nerf or everything else especially Lash should be brought up to par - but then again, Quasis are pretty used to bein worse at what they pay to specialize in than something else doing the same thing as a sidegig.
Edit: Also, item stat check boost does indeed stack with feat, so asmo belt is a good option; or just swap in a +6 dex ring against particularly problematic foes. The build actually has the leeway for this, shiftylash friggin broken ass rant rant rantin fades to distance

in case it gets missed: yeah just to be clear, this build is definitely legit. there is no question about the viability of the spelljammer shittertank, this is no paper theorycraft build, it's a proven 1st-class citizen. as said by ppl above it's by now a classic even. 100% homegrown HG op right here folks, make no mistake. highly recommendable.

Spelljammer is sweet for shifty tank. Not really sure what you are saying, Deso. I'm saying op didn't list as many advantages out of UMD as you people did. abyss heavy shield is pretty effective on shifters having all it's stats bring very useful but is not usable by small races wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Abyssal_Retort

I am a bit confused on the starting stats. I assume it goes S/D/C/W/I/CH but it would be nice if it listed the actual stat and not the points added for creation.

Nice! Haven't played in years and just started lurking again....cool to see how this build has evolved over the years. The original Swiss Army Tank was built for the Hells - it's good to know it can be adapted for Limbo too!

Do the +1 AB and AC from small stature (Gnome) transfer to shifted forms?

Size based bonuses change on the current form: kobold shape gets +1, drow / lizardfolk / sahuagin / kenku do not.
