Description: An extremely thin, dark runny substance that can coat an item and reduce the item's magical aura enough to keep it from interfering with other powerful items.
When the oil is placed inside a magical bag of holding, it will allow multiple artifacts to be placed together in the same magical bag.
Perhaps have 2 of these drop per run.
Put the oil into a bag of holding Drag an artifact from loot pile to the bag of holding.
Magic Essence Transference Bucket
Description: A small bucket that can have magical essence spells cast into it. When the magic is cast, the bucket absorbs all of the essence the caster has available. Afterwards items can be dipped into it to soak up the magical essence. For example, Flame Weapon, Cold Weapon.
Caster uses bucket placement item to place a bucket on the ground. Caster casts flame weapon on bucket. Bucket absorbs all casts of flame weapon from the caster. Caster can rest and add more casts to the bucket. If caster also wants Electric weapon, caster needs another bucket or needs to reset the flame bucket.
Melee touches bucketbucket applies one or two casts of flame weapon and applies it to weapon in hand. Bucket reduces the casts available by number of casts on weapon(s). if melee touches bucket again with weapon already buffed, it removes the buff to the weapon. Bucket disappears when caster leaves the area or uses the (same) bucket placement item from inventory again.
Is this strong enough? My gut says its too weak and I'm not even one of the ones who has a lot of XR gear, I just have some and I don't think I would use this. Heavy plates are so meh :0
Edit: checked my tanks and I definitely wouldn't use this. The idea to have Extend on it is good and the aoe rez special is nice, but it doesn't make up for it. If you get rezzed by Guardian Angel, you still need to rebuff and that more often than not leads to a second death just as swiftly (paladins rely on buffs both to survive and to deal damage). 35/- DR minimum physical for a Heavy Plate of Paragon tier; and I think it should have at least one interesting defensive quality of some sort more if it is a heavy plate, such as a strong specific spell immunity, a survival property of some sort or immunity to spells below 6, or another special that improves Smite. I think the same armor as Medium would be good (With the same immunities and DRs!) or Light with 30% Immunities - as it is, it is not good enough by a long shot. Not even close, even with the high amount of spell slots gained.

Baneknights would be balanced if they could splash paladin. -Caeha Everyone should stop using the same portrait so I can GR them better, damnit. -Caeha
Time savers: - an item that would allow you to skip one/several/all prell tags - an item that would bring you at once to far away places in the game: at will (from say a (random?) list: PoM/Zorbgot/Maze etc), or lesser ones that will only work once or only work to a few
A long-held wish: a special "HC racebook" or HC item, possibly dropping from HC-immorun. The racebook gives a normal, newly made HC-toon some slight advantages, like a few extra hp, simple feats (Skillfoci), maybe extra free deaths. It does not stack with UR/BUR races, only with the free ones to start with.
Some interesting ideas. Please keep them coming. If it helps, take a look at your PL toon's gear, and see what set gear or random gear they are wearing in each slot that is not PL in origin (ie, not XR or Limbo set llot), and consider how it could be improved.
From the other thread: an item that increases Banish SR (at least vs chaos, perhaps all).
Lifeforce Sucking Device * Only usable by Wizards with no PM levels * When used by evil Wizard, it kills selected partymember and gives the caster +1 CL and +1 SP until the caster dies or rests. * When used by neutral Wizard, he kills himself to gain the benefits (gained after ressurecting) * When used by good Wizard, he must ressurect a partymember to gain this benefit, ressurected member has 1HP as with raise dead spell. * Killed person can only be ressurected by a level 50 ressurection spell.
Set Light Armor for Cleric, Angelic Medic type upgrade to Chorus, Raphaels and competition to XRs, but in light armour format. Note, in terms of defenses it does NOT compete in any way with the XR light armours; this too will carry itself with specials/clericness. BAC 3 AC 18 Increases the duration of Greater Restoration by 2 rounds Increase Prayer Spell Penetration by 2 +1 Spell Penetration
4x to all slots below 6 3x to level 7 and 9 slots 6x to level 8 slots (ext. GR and Mass Heals are here among other things)
Weaknesses: - no DR of any kind (offset by Gate, for non-quasi) - Low immunities - Light Armour (pure cleric gets less immunity than on medium/heavier option, no monk splash option, largely encourages using non-tower shield to retain high ac taking the rather solid Tower Shield options out of gearing pool - Clerics being the ones to utilize them) Strengths: - Very good specials, but the prayer SPen will be less good if you can augment it elsewhere (and I don't think it should stack with the planned augmenters necessarily). - Good slots - maybe too many slots considering the other properties. Tuned them down as well. - Lev/Checks - Light Armour (makes it VASTLY more usable on melee/slinger/youname it types to utilize dex modifier AC, just not on monk splash ones). Thematic fluff: Dex checks, levitation - unnecessary, simply cool and get to create cool armor with Wings slapped on them.
Cleaned out the pre-6 DC and 2 uses of AoE GR, way, way too stacked. Lowered spellslot amounts. Replaced Tumble with Parry. Considering swapping Prayer SPen to Battletide SPen.
Looking at the Battlecleric Cloak from Limbo, it is not that stacked - similar power tier in armor slot imo.
Notes: - Technically making it a heavy armour would play more to the classic trope, but I wanted clerics to have a light armour option that the melee/support/slinger types can utilize as well so here it is. - Colorcoded key points. Felt like a 4 year old Picasso, and that means Awesome.
Copied directly from the other thread with no changes made other than dropping Intimidation by 10 points to add craft weapon +20. I think it's a good piece and not too strong unlike the ammy/cleric armors were (opinions vary). Arcane armor feels underwhelming and I'm not sure why so that will stay a bit longer in the thinking cap.
Barbarian medium armor: Skin of Horror Increases Barbarian Terrifying Aura radius to Huge (same as BC Battletide) 10% less Feedback damage taken BAC: 5 AC: 19 Damage Immunity: Slashing 30% Damage Immunity: Piercing 30% Damage Immunity: Bludgeoning 30%
+25% Immunity to Electric (Total ele imms 25% total less than an unrandomized unauged XR) +25% Immuntiy to Sonic +10% immunity to Anarchic Saving Throws: Universal +8 Regeneration +10 +16 CON +16 CHA Epic Skill Focus:Intimidate (can be auged, not super high value but it helps and fits theme) +20 Intimidate +20 Listen +20 Craft Armour +20 Craft Weapon
Weaknesses: - Lacks Soak, - Lacks +16 dex/str - has nothing truly amazing you really really want - It's a Medium armor, so doesn't work with any pure 2h setup really due to too low ac - requires usage of shapestrong or staying 1h.
Strengths: - Covers a DR sufficiently - Specials - the rage applying to more targets means higher coverage. Terrifying rage is strong. Large coverage is a good special. 10% Feedback is not amazing when there are 25% or 50% options available, but it is still good and works well with the Barbs' high HP grunting that shrug off damage, just not... all of it. - It has useful things in compact fashion.
Notes: - Yes, it would be better as light armour with BAC 3, but medium bac 5 might be decent if shapestrong + large shield becomes good and I don't want to design every armor to be a light armour. That's why there is a lot of immunities/DRs on this item. I won't design any Heavy Armours, they all suck. Until that is changed it makes no sense to design them. - I wanted to add 25% Negative immunity to fit the Horror / Fear theme, but felt like it might be too good/unnecessary. Otherwise it's a pretty mediocre piece overall for a paragon competing with XRs - the specials are good but not jawdroppingly so. Not sure if this can ever compete with the 50% feedback armor, but I think that has more to do with that armor than this.
Otherwise this armor competes (among Mediums) with: wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Preserve_Their_Bodies - this for the most part, but the phys dr medium armor is possibly the weakest of the medium armors - it is better to get Phys DR from some other piece and use one of the better medium armors in XR tier.
- Colorcoded key points. Edit: changed aura radius change to match 40+Str base str Battletide radius change.
