As I am ever the newb, I need to ask: Are the durations of the Harpy song and Loenal roar (once you get the LFF) based on Charisma bonus?

No all shifter abilities are based on Wisdom.

Had a thought -- The pixie subrace is very fast. Would it make sense to give the pixie shifter form fast movement? At the moment, I rarely use the spill potion ability (usually because I am too busy fighting for my life in one of the other forms! :-D ) Giving the form fast movement would really make it a worthwhile form.

Okay, aside from adding fast movement to the pixie form, so that it is in line with the pixie race, shouldn't mind flayer form get an intelligence boost? Normal NWN gives +6 Int to the mind flayer, which is basically useless because it counts towards the +12 cap and most players have +12 int with equipment. However, is it possible to give a flat out value or is there no functionality for changing the Int stat via forms? The basic mind flayer in NWN has 27 intelligence. nwn.fandom.com/wiki/Mind_flayernwn.fandom.com/wiki/Mind_flayer_veneratorMaybe give that to the mind flayer form, and boost it to 28 in the epic or LFF forms?

As a general rule, wis, cha and int never change while shapeshifted, any boost to those is only temporary and counts towards the magic cap. Mind Flayer is immune to all mind effects (except fear). There are handful intelligence checks on HG (e.g. confusion in Toyshop, or confusion from Aboleths), but vast majority of these is blocked by the form immunity.

We will probably look at tweaking/improving some of the underused Shifter forms at some point in the future, really doubt we would add more forms over upgrading under/unused ones tho. Pure rogue, good Cleric, fist monk, pure Druid, Dwarven Defender and Wizard are at the top of the current "help badly needed" list afaik. Fixing/tweaking them is a much bigger priority atm.

Sure. And like we said, earlier . . . or in a different thread? . . . The existing shapes are probably set. Thanks for taking posts from a sporadic player, such as myself. That is probably why I am focused on the shifter -- So far, it has let me do the most with the time I have: - Tank: Dragon, Gargoyle, Risen Lord, Marut - Nuke: Baelnorn, Rakshasa, Kobold Commando - Sneak: Pixie, Vampire (GS) - locks: Kobold Commando, Kenku - Range/snipe: Modron, Kenku, Azer Chieftain, Beholder
I'm just throwing these out as possibilities, if you do move to shifter, to add to the fun: - pixie: fast movement - Kobold command: disable DC 35+ locks - Mind flayer: set a higher intelligence stat
I'm really enjoying all there is to explore in the game. You guys have breathed such life into the engine. Thanks!

(oh, and maybe the Rakshasa could get intuitive attack? After all, we left the Kobold with weapon finesse! ;-) )

Harpy and Leonal: Set up their song to auto-repeat, similar to the crystal golems crystaline matrix and the vampires greater sanctuary. I am constantly losing track of what is running for those two shapes.

Say, have we also lost the built in buffs of the weapons used by shifter shapes? eg. the fire buff of the Rakshasa staff and the poison of the kobold sword? Heck, I think we even removed the basic +X on the weapons.

Heck, I think we even removed the basic +X on the weapons. I don't know if I'd call them "lost" - they're pretty much worthless on this server. But, yes, shifter has been completely re-worked. There's not much (if anything) left from the built-in version.

All armed forms transfer damage types and enhancement from the weapon and respective weapon buffs. Some unarmed forms too and some have an extra kick, e.g. dragons. The "basic +X on the weapons" will not do a scratch on HG mobs, because vanilla was much more lenient. You need +7 by lvl 20, +11 by lvl 40 and +15 or higher by the end-game.
