We did Elysium this evening on 212, started at 19:15 CET. Got to the boss transition (tower) at 21:15 CET. One of our players ran forward too soon after transitioning, spawning Pelor (neutral). Six of our players got left behind unable to transition due to enemies present (Pelor spawned). After asking on Discord we used 6 Stones of Succor to teleport to the boss throne, from the same map, never left it. After talking to Pelor and turning him hostile we started fighting and did 0 damage to him. After a while the server hang kicking everyone out and crashed. That was around 19:18 CET.
We'd like to ask for a boss reset tomorrow or friday night at around 19-20 CET so that we can properly finish the run.
Brad kindly tried to help but was unsure what kind of bug or antiexploit we triggered and also was not sure if he's able to reset the fight.
We don't think we've done anything wrong considering you have two options after spawning the Pelor too soon, both of which are allowed by the game atm: 1) Fight him with fewer party members leaving some of them behind. 2) SoS or AsmoNeck or Apport to the boss room from the same map.
Ok, correction, Kululu knew about this and had it casted. Still did no damage. That also explains why all my 5 chars were blind. Pardon me for my lack of knowledge, was my first Ely run. EDIT: also wouldn't explain the crash.
The crash was caused by me trying to log in to see what was the matter with a DM avatar when I saw your global messages about having a problem I forgot that the new server set up won't accommodate them yet...
I see. After talking to guildies some more we can't prove whether darkness was used or not as they no longer have logs and mine have unknown spells cast. All that is left is speculation and the most likely cause (given the crash was by KE logging in) is human error on our part. Oh well, we'll hopefully have better luck next time.

In terms of boss encounters in general it is a good rule of thumb to always trigger the boss together when everyone is ready. This means not moving on a spawn point near bosses period. In some areas LL+ (ely, abyss princes come to mind etc) this can/will literally wipe the run with no compensation. I have been on ely runs where the whole party has to use SoS/asmo amulets due to this occasion. It is merely the way things are and on the backend prevents exploits (don't ask).
I know how frustrating it can be getting to the end and not completing, however it more or less educates party members so they understand what not to do next time and can pass along to future newer players.
