I'm curious why the change was made to force players to rest with the brazier equipped in order to activate it. I understand the wording said that was how it was originally intended to work, however, it is a pain. Can it be put back the way it was and just change the wording to reflect its use? My reasoning for this is because some toons equipped with torches or shields with spell slots will not be able to use those slots if that item is unequipped in exchange for the brazier. This affects clerics and some tanks.

I agree 100%. I also understand that it was fixed to be consistent with the always present description. This adjustment has only had a dramatic impact on quality of life / useable of the torch. I’d love to see the verbiage adjusted and the flexibility restored.

Im just stuck with another gear piece now that is extremly unflexible and clunky to use, if at all. The torch worked well as it was and instead of "fixing" it to match the text, it should have just have it´s description changed. Huge QOL loss for nothing.

Is there any flexibility in adjusting this to afford players this really nice piece of QoL?

The synchronistic change to the Brazier has created a negative affect. For some toons, such a lifethreader, a few extra spell slots make a very big difference. There's no doubt in my mind the change was not made with the intention of causing other items to be less usable, yet it has happened. So, I'm asking if you could please change to Braziers back to the way they were prior to the last update. As Paradoom stated, the wording could be changed and the effectiveness of the Brazier and other items would remain intact.

I don't think its the wording that is the issue. I would imagine is more that the item isn't intended to have unlimited uses. Anyways. there are plenty of people in limbo parties to make up for the difficulty. Only one or two people to use torch and move on. Honestly, a bit on the complainy side of things

How is this a troll? I admit, I had to edit a word because I missed it when scanning it before post. But I didn't post it to troll anyone.

Complainy. Great troll. Thanks. He actually said it more politely than I was inclined to. I'm presently putting the finishing touches on a patch rather than respond to the flurry of 'why'd you fix it plz break it again k thx' posts in the last couple of days, lest I say something a little too colorful. I will be making a longer post to address this mindset once I've had some time to compose my thoughts. Funky

Complainy. Great troll. Thanks. How about whining? Better? The adjustment was made and it is likely something you'll have to get used to- isn't it easy enough to rest with the torch on if you -plan- to use it prior to resting again? Quickslot before you rest, repeat. Honestly don't see much of an issue besides a -slight- QoL step back. Even then it was never intended to be used in the way it was previously used. If anything be grateful it's mechanic suited you for its duration.

Why was functionality adjusted to match the description instead of the other way around?

Why was functionality adjusted to match the description instead of the other way around? This is either an epic troll or utter facepalm. I'm going to assume the former. Funky
