Hi All,
I thought I'd share my pure crossbow rogue build (you don't see a lot of rogues in HG)
In terms of damage output, I've found in hells and abyss I'm usually a little behind, but can at least stay close to the tanks (within 10%).
In limbo (I brought this to a P1 hard) I was way behind... like half of the other tanks. High piercing immunities and DR/ really hurt the damage output.
Being a dex based pure rogue, Most of the damage will come from sneak attacks.
You could probably do this with dual wield instead of a crossbow, but the main benefit to using a crossbow over melee, is that it is easy to make sure you are always sneak attacking. Just keep a little distance from the enemies (but not too much).
An important tip for crossbows: After logging on, you need to unequip and re-equip it to get the bonus 2 attacks. You will see some red sparkles around your head as an indication this is active.
An important note regarding skill mastery: You need to rest for this to be active. If you do not rest, you will get layer penalties. If you are amni'd, you will also get layer penalties.
*Note for skills. There is no point in going over 63. You do not take layer penalties on skills due to skill mastery, so paragon points are best used on cross class skills or on skills below 63.
Don't forget to have pickpocket at 120+. You'll need some on your gear to achieve this.
If you are using crippling strike every cooldown, it does slightly more damage than a regular attack It's effectively +1 attack per round, but to land reliably you really want PP to be at, or near the cap.
My current Saves/Ac/AB
Note, I'm only level 72 currently, so these will all improve a little once level 80. AC should end up at 135 before gird
