P2 Rez rods stop working if you get amnesia, and they're susceptible to spell failure auras. Please have this removed

I find it to be one of their unique features; they have infinite range so they behave more like spells than rods. Pros & cons.

Except they're still a rod, and the power of the rod is completely trashed by spell fail auras, amnesia, etc. It defeats the purpose entirely. It also goes against the entire purpose of a rod / scroll in D'n'D.

However scrolls (spell completion item) can incur spell failure. Using a scroll is like casting a spell for purposes of arcane spell failure chance. <nerd hat off> Your original point does stand though. Rods should not have a spell failure chance, but probably this is tied into the way the spell is implemented in nwn. Same reason you see some shifter powers nullified by silence for instance.
