This idea came to me during the Arcane Archives thread conversation. Specifically, that part of the reason why the run feels so bad and sees under utilization is the one of the primary rewards has no permanency to it, it's lost during reincarnation. The previous purpose of the crucible was to tier items up to a stronger level of power. Why not take that same feature and apply it to other things instead? Moliate a scroll from Arcane Archives and it persists through reincarnation. This facilitates the creation of items which are temporary, that through the PoM run gain an added level of persistence. As new LL's are created or others revisited this feature could apply to those things.
Other avenues of potential application are moliating motes. Thus enabling a player to wear a second one. Before we get too overboard in the player power category, require the crucible + random item from given tier of loot run to be combined to expand that feature. The mote feature doesn't have to be realized but a second example of creatively keeping things working in a somewhat fashion of their current state.
And yes, it is possible that one could determine to make Arcane Archives more useful you just make the scrolls more permanent. This just encompasses a second equally lost LL run in the process making both way more valuable. I'd dare say this would compete with toyshop and portable holes if you expanded the mote feature or something akin to that concept. Food for thought.
