So the fan on my trusty ol' MSI Radeon HD 7790 stopped being reliable and I couldn't find a replacement online. I did a little shopping and ended up buying a Asus GT 1030 to replace it. I installed it, but NWN looks terrible through it; all blurry. I found out that nVidia-based adapters have kind of a reputation for doing this to old games. Anyone ever grappled with this? Thanks in advance.

If you can return it I have a used Radeon HD 7750 1GB card I can sell. I was planning to sell the whole PC but I am doubtful if you would be interested in the rig but can give full specs if you are.

That's an extremely kind offer, but I've already committed to going another way. But I do want to let you know I deeply appreciate it.

What exactly are you experiencing with the 1030, I can't say I've ever experienced blurry graphics and I've used nVidia graphics since day one for NWN

If you need more technical help I can probably give you some guidance with what ever route you are going.

Keep in mind that the 1030 is actually a step down from the 7790 in most benchmarking parameters.
I would recommend researching the driver and see what comes up. There's a good chance that by up- or downgrading your driver, or just re-installing it, you can fix the problem.

The 7750 is a step down and I can say it worked well for me through until 2018 or 2020 I forget when it got replaced.

I was just saying that if he moved from a 7790 to a 1030, he moved to a card that is weaker. Aside from driver issues (which is most likely the problem), the same graphics settings that worked for the previous card might not be as suitable on the 1030. I mean, it's an old game, and either card is surely adequate, but I just wanted to point out that the new card he put in isn't quite as powerful as the old one, to keep in mind.
