The "Hastily Sketched Notes" from the maze makes two references to a tunnel at a specific location. That location contains a ladder, not a tunnel.

I will check this the next time I'm in Avernus if you want, but I remember seeing Jangling Hiter in the Kytons' description spelled "Jangling Hitler."

Was in the catacombs today and noticed two more: 2) The description for the "sad piles of humanoid bones" contains the verb "lay," which is either past tense or plural... based on the apparent context (singular present tense), it should be "lie." Where might these be? Funky

Hm. See, the reason I remember it is because it was the first time I'd seen the name of the city (I don't play PnP), and seeing "hitler" in it made it seem an appropriate name, like Hitler was sent to that layer upon his death or something. Later, when I actually visited the city (and looked it up on various sites through Google, as I'm curious like that), I noticed the absence of the L and thought it was odd, that maybe that description I saw was a typo. Anyway, I realize you've probably got the module open in front of you but since my memory's crying out to me that I was right at one point... next time in Avernus I'll take a peek at their description just to satisfy my curiosity! Sorry, I should have been more specific... those sad piles of humanoid bones are actually in the Halls of Horror.

Yeah, I know that. But I remember looking long and hard at the name of that city in the description, and I'm the type of person who notices details very strongly as opposed to the big picture. Thus I am perfectionistic and am going to check it again for my own sake.

Ladders link to tunnels and vice versa. The bottom end of a tunnel always has a ladder leading up to it. The pits are at the top of the tunnels. There are some exceptions to that rule, but the ladder and pit in question are a matched set so I can see how both would be part of a single tunnel - in which case no typo.

Afaik there aren't any exceptions. If you find any, please point em out, as they would be bugs. Though someone did report an anomoly in the maze recently, I was unable to confirm it...

the hole right north of where you enter the maze leads you to a place, that does not lead back to where you came from.

Funky Two bugs I'm aware of in the maze. Using maze notation - (Level) (X) (Y) At 1 5 6, the tunnel does not have a ladder at the other end (2 5 6). 2 5 6 is a tunnel leading to 3 5 6, which has a ladder to 2 5 6. This is a design issue in the maze. (Note that there is no guarantee in the 'maze handbook' that every ladder has a tunnel and vice versa, although it's implied.) Moving 1 5 6 to 1 4 6 and placing a ladder at 2 4 6 leading up to 1 4 6 would solve this issue easily. At 2 2 4, the tunnel down leads to 3 1 3 instead of to 4 2 4, and it's a one way trip as well. 4 2 4 has a ladder which leads correctly to 2 2 4. I am unsure if this occurs on all servers, or only a few of them.

Thanks all, will look into these. Please start a new thread for anything else related to the maze bugs, or anything else non-typo. Funky
