buff in a pvp is totaly differnt than in group adventure setting. how bout this go to mana (i mean the city/houses, not the docks area) with a group of 4 - 6 fighters of equal or higher lvl and see how effective you are. my bet is the best you can do is kill a drow or 2 with acid seath and thats it. brands, igms and any other spell you got is uselss, and forget hand to hand since your ab as a pure is way to low to even hit em. then tell me sorcs and wizes dont need help. this isnt mean to be a personal attack against you but i'm not sure you've really seen what we are talking about, pvp in the arena is way different.

Guido, what ThirdEye is saying is that he would be very happy to show you his Magic Skills in the Arena, simply to show off their power in an enclosed setting. I have had the pleasure of partying with ThirdEye on numerous occasions, and I can tell you he knows how to build one hell of a spellcaster. Take a moment out of your day, arrange a time to meet up, and check out some of his characters. They are spectacular. Otherwise: Forsaken is working on revamping Mana, but it is a trial and error process. We will get it right before production on PoA ceases at the end of the month, don't you worry. You will have plenty to do while the HG team works on making Higher Ground come to life.

If you're still looking to buff spells, I've done a complete rework of a bunch of spells in epic levels on another PoA based mod: www.de-frag.us/bardo/viewtopic.php?t=136Most if it is done via a spellhook script, but there may be changes to the base scripts also depending on how far you've modified the downloadable PoA. Feel free to contact me if you want more details.

UPDATE: We will be modifying spells, experimenting with them, to help casters out, particularly the weaker casters like druids. Please post suggestions for spell changes in the 'Suggestions for class balancing' thread above.
Thanks, Funky

Glad to hear some of the spells are getting changed to help casters...
and,
Think about this.
480dmg 2x/per round, a maximum of let's say 9 times per rest to keep it real.
Compare that to a fighter or WM focused in Scythe potentially doing 300+dmg, 5 times per round, with no rest needed.
No contest which is more powerful.
