The page itself does not see updating much, but the sub-sections that contain the different subsections of builds are more frequently updated.

OK props to Mighty Khan for getting on Skype with me and teaching me how to update the Builds Page. I've spent some time on there today and the Base Class Builds section has now been updated. I haven't added any new builds on there as yet but I will be doing once I have finished updating all the rest. So if you see any mistakes on there feel free to point them out and if you do see any wierdness it will probably just be there for a matter of seconds until I notice it and correct it so don't worry The intention is to put the latest updated builds to the top of each list to ensure that the latest working builds are higher on the lists than those that possibly aren't seeing much use any more. It isn't a problem Funky, I've been wanting to do something to contribute for ages now and started with the Rona Page but I just couldn't get my head round it. MightyKhan went over updating the Wiki Builds page with me on Skype which made it much easier for me to learn. It is literally the least I can do to say thanks for all the damn hard work the Dev Team put into HG. Ne ways....back to the Builds Page. I have now finished sorting out the Build Page on Wiki. Every section is now in 'date' order going from the most recently updated builds at the top of the list to the oldest at the bottom. This ensure you know that all the latest builds are at the top of the list and you haven't got to click each link and check for yourself. I also fixed a few Broken Links that were directing people to the wrong builds or to non existant pages and corrected 1 or 2 spelling mistakes. I will be going through the HG Builds Section on these boards over the next few days to check builds already on Wiki against current updates and to see if they are 'Proven Builds' and can be added to the 'Recomended' group of each build section or if they are out of date and need to be added to the 'Archived' Section. Also I will be adding new builds not already on the Wiki Pages as well. Especially ones that utilise the latest updates. Feel free to check the page and if you notice any mistakes or want to ask me about what I've done and why just send me a pm Cata

The links in the OP of this thread don't work. Link should go to wiki.hgweb.org.

Thanks Cata. I used to do it, and it took quite a bit of time walking through builds, making sure links worked, trying to decide what to do with each build (ignore because it's just a test build, normal, or recommended).

No probs, I haven't added any new builds to the Wiki yet as I have had family down this week for my sons birthday and I had my daughter to stay so not been about much but will start going through the builds this week hopefully.

I feel like it is time to pay back to the community that has given me so much joy over nearly a decade. I would like to get a crash course in how to use the wiki correct, so I can post my own builds and perhaps do some maintenance along with it. So, if anyone can write me a "crash course in how to post in wiki for dummies vol.1" it would be appreciated.

So, if anyone can write me a "crash course in how to post in wiki for dummies vol.1" it would be appreciated. Herc Oki, here we go: 1. Go to HGWki, link is on top of this forum, or here: wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Main_Page2. Create an acount, right top corner of HGwiki 3. Log in with that account 4. Go the the page you want to edit 5. Type on edit on top of the text or on the right after every chapter. Here you see the souce code that generates the text. Best is just to see which code generates what. Try to make some changes...below are to imortant buttons: Save Page AND Show Preview. The trick is to only click on show preview and whatch the result. If you are satisfied, then insert a small text in the field "summary" what you did and press save page. Thats it. It's just learning by doing. And don't be too much worried that you could damage something: There is allways the option to restore a former version of the page. If you are looking for a page via search function, and that page does not exist, then you can click on "create this page" to make a total new page. That is the simple "just do it" start. There might be billios of manuals somewhere, but I would just try it out. Yours Torin
