Oki, here we go: 1. Go to HGWki, link is on top of this forum, or here: wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Main_Page2. Create an acount, right top corner of HGwiki 3. Log in with that account 4. Go the the page you want to edit 5. Type on edit on top of the text or on the right after every chapter. Here you see the souce code that generates the text. Best is just to see which code generates what. Try to make some changes...below are to imortant buttons: Save Page AND Show Preview. The trick is to only click on show preview and whatch the result. If you are satisfied, then insert a small text in the field "summary" what you did and press save page. Thats it. It's just learning by doing. And don't be too much worried that you could damage something: There is allways the option to restore a former version of the page. If you are looking for a page via search function, and that page does not exist, then you can click on "create this page" to make a total new page. That is the simple "just do it" start. There might be billios of manuals somewhere, but I would just try it out. Yours Torin this is all were simple, but it is when i edit the page i cant continue. lets say i wanna add my barbarian under barbarian builds: I can see how the former ppl have posted, but - how do i get the correct format here?
- how do i get the index number right ?
I suspect this points to my build in the forums somewhere and needs to be right.Therfor I cannot just copy another link and change names under author. How do I do this the right way? I managed to move my build and highlight it as outdated (Grey) Herc

Tables in Wiki are indeed more advanced, in particularly builds. I'll give a try to explain howto change it. Here is an example of the table for bards, only the beginning of the table, 2 builds and the end: ====<center>Melee Bard</center>==== Let's try to add a bard! We take Vulp's Artist as example. This build is in the forum linked here: highergroundpoa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=basebard&action=display&thread=19888 .First copy-paste one build at the end: ====<center>Melee Bard</center>==== Then we change the simpler things: Name, Author, Levels (39Bard/1Pal) race (shard)..I'll color the changes in orange. The link to the build in the forum contains the information of the board= and the index = groundpoa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=basebard&action=display&thread= 19888Edit it accordingly: Last thing that has to be modified is the type that changes the collor. Possible are type=open type=recommended type=archived or just leave it blanc for white color. Paste the new build in, press first Show Preview to see the result. And if it works then save it. I hope this helps, yours Torin

Have started adding some builds to the Wiki, so far done Bard and Barb and started on the Clerics.
It's a big job to go through the builds since there are so many so am not going to really be looking at older builds only newer ones posted in the last year since they will more accurately reflect the latest updates.
If anyone sees any builds they think should be added feel free to pm me and I'll take a look at them.
NOTE: I'm talking about just adding new builds to Wiki at moment not changing any to outdated or recommended, etc.

I've made some new categories for the Hells loot - Now you can find which item can be found on which layer of hells. I did not include the weapons, as they are very good listed in the Dis/Hells Weapons sections. Some items are unclear to me ("where do they drop?"), if someone knows where and could complement that info, that would be nice. I also ask myself if the list of Hells Items is complete.

We've got ReCaptcha for account creation, but it seems to only slow them down a little. Acaos is the one who can set up other options. Adding some HG-specific QuestyCaptchas along with Recaptcha would be cool. Having some spammer trying to look up the Immo's favorite phrase, or the name of the final Elysium boss would be pretty funny.

I just found a spam page. I deleted the text, but I could not get rid of the actual page itself. How do I totally get rid of it? Or at least start the process to delete the page?

You need to be a wiki admin to delete pages.

I've deleted some spam text, too. But I'm not sure if there's any point. Does anyone know if there's a way to call text from another page to display on the current page? Wikipedia has a function called transclusion ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Transclusion). It's called by using around the page name. The reason I ask is because I wanted to add a glossary page that shows the terms and definitions that are already on their own individual pages. However, doesn't work. For example, when I try out Anchor I get: Instead of: A party member that stays put in an area while other party members... |

- Niilo I think what you're trying to do is Where it will put all text on the page into the space of the substitution you just entered.Nevermind, this only works for templates, and there is no template page "Template:Anchor". Doing that can fill a page EXTREMELY quickly. I'd recommend doing such things as this Avernus page. See how monster names are links? I'd make the word "Anchor" a link to the Anchor page. For instance: Anchors THat will cause whatever text after the "|" to link to the page called "Anchor" in this case, "Anchors" links to the page "Anchor". The syntax is APPEARING_TEXTPlanning on making, there is already a "Terminology" page. If it's just a glossary you're trying to make, copy-paste into one page would be the way to go. Alternatively you could make a template called "Glossary", and to include, in the future, any text from that page you could pass the words to be defined as parameters, which could then be transcluded into the target page. I.e. in a page you want to describe "Anchor" you could say which would ten replace that tag with the definition for Anchor. SO {{qif|term={Anchor}|then=text:DEFINITIION_HERE;}}

Finally, after about 3 month, its done: The Quests page on our WikiThe page is both useful for people who just want to remember what the quest was about ("Dialog") and for people who just get tired of !search and want a solution ("Item Found Here - Spoiler warning!"). Thanks to all who contributed. Feel free to enhance the site. Some solutions may still be short. Enjoy!

That quest page is amazing, thank you all for putting that together and escpecially for the extra effort in formatting. This is making my leveling so much easier. (grinding levels between tags was very off-putting)
