Would it be possible to enable monk characters to receive their unarmed number of attacks with other weapons? Maybe at level 11 (here fighters get whetstone) maybe allow it to work with a particular size or weapon type?
we might find we have a few staff or chain specialists. after all RL Shaolin monks train in everything from darts to axes.
and/or how about allowing any ab bonus and damage from gauntlets stack with weapon dam etc. since Monks fists cant be GMW'd. unless u can make it so u can GMW fists or gauntlets.
might seem a bit monk orientated but i dont think they get enough press. people only seem to take a single monk level these days just to get the wiz bonus to ac or extra attacks and never go any higher.
(Monk secrets anyone?)

You joke, but monks will definitely be getting some needed attention in the feats update. Funky

Just had to laugh at the notion of monk rapier WMs with 10 attacks per round and 10-20 x3 crit range. May as well ask for the moon on a stick while your at it.

should a lvl 35 monk get 65% conceal or 70%?

Taken straight from the ability change book:
-Empty Body ability now grants 1% extra conceal for every level over 20, capped at 70% at level 40.
35 is 15 levels over 20 (35 - 15 = 20), so that means that you get 15% extra conceal. The old value (if you read your feat description) was 50%...that means that at level 35 you will have 65% conceal (50 + 15 = 65).

i agree the things i suggested would end up with an uber class. they were just random ideas. my point is currently monks feel under powered compared to other classes. and the tendency to take a single monk level seems to be the normal these days for any combat based char. it would be nice to be able to have a pure monk, and to have it capable of staying in the game. if u guys have any pure monk build suggestions to post on the appropriate thread id be pleased to read them.

Pure monks arent that bad, i have a lvl 37 monk /3 rogue who is ssith tagged and i dont think it would be terribly hard to get her db or illithid tagged as well. In fact, the abode was fairly easy with her. They arent so bad as people think. And she uses gloves not kamas.

I have one of those (37/3)--I hardly play him anymore though...his AC wasn't good enough for me

You'll have to be more specific. If by bugged you mean that you get +1% for both monk and non-monk levels over 20, then yes that is true and will be fixed.

Greetings,
I am currently working on a rogue/monk (20/20) and have been having a great time playing her which is the point as far as I am concerned. But it should also be noted that by 60th lvl I should have a 131 ac, sc5, epic dodge, max basic rogue skills, and a movement rate that is out of this world. Obviously my ab suffers but it is not unliveable and besides, that is what clerics, mages, and str-tanks are for. I put this chara together for the Illithids, but have found that I am quite a fan of the process of development as well. Testimonial complete.
Cheers,
The Dancer
