It would appear that there is an issue with either the HDD or the RAM on our host machine, causing increasiung corruption both to the core program (resulting in some of the odd bugs witnessed this week) and to character files - resulting in crashes. We may be forced to take the server offline until these issues can be remedied, for fear of corrupting more characters. PlEASE BEAR WITH US WHILE OUT HOST WORKS TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. Sincere Thanks, Funky

Update: At least two character files have been corrupted today. We are taking the server down to protect the other character files. I wish I could tell you how long it will be down, but I don't know - hopefully a day or less, but possibly longer. Funky

I received this message from DS last night: "We have noticed some other trouble with the machine where you reported the potential file corruption. It does seem to indicate that we may have failing hardware. As such, we'd like to move your server to another machine while we investigate.
It will take us a couple of days to setup the new machine, as we've got to setup all the custom sections of your account. We'll start working on this right away and let you know when the new machine is ready.
This step should also help us to isolate the problems with your server. If your server works correctly without corruption on the new system, we'll know that the original server has hardware trouble for sure." So, it'll be a little longer yet, whether or not we stay with DS. Look for us to pop up with a new ip in 2 days or so. I'll send out an email when that happens. Best, Funky

Parden me for saying this is complete BS. It takes them 2 Days? What are they going to move the server bit by bit. I realize were not the only server they host but with the past problems we have had with them at least they could get off there ^&*&^ &^% to at least try and keep us as clients. I am glad these people dont run the suicide hotline.

I have to agree with Calad. Its unbelievable how bad the service you are receiving from Dungeon Server. Especially the amount they charge per month for their service.
