In response to the original post (not going to go into the dnd arguments as this is nwn with bioware ruleset+HG modifications), IMO it's perfectly viable to have an AA who has a high str mod on HG that is high enough to use the +16 (and in case of the beholder bow +17) mighty properties. Not only that, but builds that utilise the mighty bonus will be even more powerful when the hells arrive, which we've been told will help make str builds relatively more powerful (presumably meaning low physical resist/immy and disciplien checks).
An AA with Str as their main ability will still be able to hit enemies, and not only that, but they'll be able to hit them with extreme power, for massive damage.
You may be forgetting, but AA's get a massive boost to their ab with enchant arrow. Ontop of this they get a boost to their damage with this. Dusty arrows also give a boost to their physical damage. Add a mighty bonus ontop of that, and you're dealing massive physical damage with each bow. The enchant arrow feats also mean you can sacrifice alot of your ab from dex to boost your str, and still be able to hit more things than alot of melee builds out there. Your bow is also at +16 ab (or +17 with beholder), meaning you'll have a better ab (in the absence of ab boosting buffs) than a melee with a decent gmw on them. What do you lose for boosting your str? Your attacks may hit a bit less often against enemies with high ac (you've got seeker arrow to cover this though), your ac will suffer (your ac is going to be hopeless anyway), and depending on how much dex you sacrifice you may have to miss out on self conceal feats (a big disadvantage, but it could be avoided by going for part str-part dex). So, you sacrifice a bit of your defensive abilities, are forced to adapt strategies against enemies with high ac, but get a significant boost to your damage.
