Would anyone be interested in an all-day run marathon? Doing as many of the runs on the server as possible (from Xul to Lloth to Immo to Dachy to Sissy to Desert to DB to Beholders to Thids to Pyramid, did I miss any?). Mayhaps put in a request to Funky to set aside a server for one day with an unlimited party size.... It could be annual

I wonder how fast dachy would fall with 32 level 60 mages? Ignoring lag, of course.

I wonder how fast dachy would fall with 32 level 60 mages? Ignoring lag, of course. Before they had party limits of 10, you used to see groups of 15 or 18 people running the abandoned temple and Razhids - and judging from that, it would probably be longer to beat dachy with even 20 than it would be with just 10. First, you couldn't ignore lag as the lag didn't just make a battle a little longer or a little more tedious, it often made the game utterly unplayable - you beat Razhid and ran to the first barricade near the pet wing, and then bam, you'd find out it was all lag running and you were back in Raz's room. Second, with so much going on it was near impossible to organize any type of realistic strategy - it was just utter chaos and the only way you survived was because you had so many bodies on the map. In the aforementioned temple runs for instance, with a party larger than 12, most people didn't fight - not because they were leeching purposely but because in all the confusion they couldn't tell that they weren't fighting.

I wonder how fast dachy would fall with 32 level 60 mages? Ignoring lag, of course. We'll assume an average caster level of 58, to account for some multiclassing. Assuming he's been morded, with an spell penetration of 66, 25 of the mages igms would hit. At 2 per round thats 50 igms per round. Assuming that they are all maxed they would do 7 points per missile (I believe dach has 5 magic resist). A caster level 58 igms has 29 missiles. So each round dach would take (29*7)*50= 10,150 hp damage. So even if dach had 30,000 hp (I don't think its that much but for the sake of arguement) it would only take 3 rounds

But what about with the Epic Missle storm spell.... That'd be only one round!

Is that possible though... Imagine being on ANY run where you where that lucky.. 1 run and you become GODS!!! Not including the deverial chest and the mord ring box (not sure if you can get urs from them), there are about 44 loots in a full desert run: Vash's Ruin: 4 First Plat: 5 Second Plat: 5 Third Plat: 7 Deverial Eyrie: 2 Ruined Temple: 5 First Cinder: 5 Second Cinder: 6 Third Cinder: 5 According to the info Funky gave in the loot forum (if I read it right, correct me if I'm wrong please), there is a 1% increased rate per every 2 ppl after the first with a base rate of 4% in the LL areas for URs. The servers can handle 36 people so if there was no cap either in party or rarity, 34/2 would mean 17% + the base of 4% ultimately meaning a 21% of a UR for each loot (again if I read it correctly - I honestly just skimmed it). Statsistics were never my strong point so someone else will have to take it from here.

The math is un important as that just shows the Percent chance that it happens. I've always felt there is always a chance at some point that you will roll all perfects therefore there is a chance in the world that one day you will go on a run where everything you pop rolls perfect UR gear. Having a full party maxed out just increases that chance. I think it would be neat to be on a run where everything you popped holds a UR Unless there is a limitation built in that states that after so many UR's are popped no more can be given in the Zone (not area).
Just like my damage matrixes show damage potential for a full combat round with All crits All sneak attacks sucessfull and MAx damage rolls on all attacks. Hey it COULD happen. I actually ran a game about 3 years ago this alomost happened to a barbarian no less 6 attacks All but 1 Crit and only two rolls that did not max. Afterwards we put those dice on dispaly in our guild house after one player got pissy and demanded they get verifed for trueness, we felt that killed their luck.

This game is either
A. All about the odds (to the player) OR B. Not about the odds at all (to the role player) OR C. Imaging a sliding scale between A and B.

In the words of Han Solo "Never tell me the odds" If I'm not mistaken, you would find the odds by taking the percentage to the power of the number of loots - meaning with a 21% chance of a UR per loot, your odds are about (1.5 x 10^-28)% not including the odds that you will find nothing at all in any particular loot. In other words you have about a 1.5 out of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance of getting an all UR run. If you do one desert run per hour 24/7, 365 days a year with the sucess being the final run, it will only take you about 1,141,552,511,415,525,114,155,251 years to do it. It should be noted this is 71,347,031,963,470 (71 trillion) times the age of the universe.
