Ok this is probably gunna go no where but am gunna give it a shot. I have been playing around with Quasi classes for some time, I just love the builds and the challenges they present. As a fan of quasi classes in a big way I am confident they can go thru hell and succeed. What I want to do is form a group of players who think likewise and take a group of Quassi Classes ONLY from level one all the way to Nessus. I think it would be a wikked achievement for a group of players using nothing but Quasi Classes to go the whole hog and actualy prove if it can be done or not. Yes I know 'certain' quassi's are useful in hjell with the right party etc. but I wanna do this with ONLY quasi classes so if ya interested let me know here and we will see what kinda group we can throw together. Cata the insane

Crazy idea, Cat. Might be lots of fun or intense frustration. I would hope for the former of course. Trazik

No druid epics then; Unless someone out there has a Staffmaster with 15 levels of wizard (minimum req for SM) and 25 druid.. Still possible, just harder

Well the original idea was top build new quasi's from scratch and yes without the Druid it will undoubtedly be harder than usual but then that just adds to the fun lol. Wasn't thinking of starting this until the next round of edits are in place at least to give people time to work out builds, etc.
In respect to the lack of a quasi to substitute for a Druid (Theurge of course being the logical sub for Cleric) am wondering if allowing a Druid as the only non quasi would ruin the idea behind this or turn it from an immensley painful experience to an albeit harder, but possible one?

just substitute the standard cheese druid with a dragon druid, maleer with druid epics looks like a quasi: was our only druid in 3 nessus runs and fit nicely.

Well sinbce the only reason for wanting a Druid is the Druid Epics I think we can allow a Druid as the only non quasi, as long as it isn't a standard Druid build. I like the meeler druid with epics idea. Unless of course the Druid quasi mention above is implemented lol.
Ok we are definitely gunna need:
Dwarven Warchanter to replace lack of Bard Bloodfire Mage to deal with Tears and other critters Theurge (Cleric Based to hopefully handle Machines and other implodables)
We will need tanks so preferably a Lash, Staffmaster and Bane Knight (One of each at least would be preferable as it makes for more variety but isn't essential)
That is 6 slots taken and if the last 4 could be taken up with a Pariah, Slinger, Lifethreader and the Druid Meelee build for the Druid Epics I think we would have a good chance at making it. Of course we lack several components that will make the Hell runs extremely difficult without good team play.
No shifter means bosses like Tiamat are going to be painful at least although still possible.
This is why I wanna start from scratch rather than just jumping right into a Tia run with a group of people using their own quasi classes. This way we get to party with each other from the start and learn each others strengths and weakneses before we get to Hell and can rely on eadch other more and play as a team much more effectively. Of course we wont be playing to hardcore rules or anything like that so you'd have full access to ya gear and cash etc.
I'm just itching to prove Quasi's are viable effective builds in their own rights. Everyone knows the standard non quasi builds can make it through Hell but a party of purely Quasi builds would be something else.
I wouldn't mind playing any of the quasi's to be honest so I'll let you guys pick what ya wanna play and take whatever is left
So who is in and what do you wanna play? Hoping to start maybe in about a week to give people time to get build thought out, bearing in mind we will be taking them to hell so need to be made with that in mind.

The only thing i worry about is the person playing pariah. That will hurt bad.

Well that would depend I guess on play style and build, Pariahs get way more regen, dr and phys immunes than any other build. Unless I am mistaken they can get up to 100% Phys immune with gear added, that just leaves ele and exotic damage and spells to worry about.
Am not saying it would be easy but hey would be one heck of a hg story if we managed Demi
