Last post by me under this login. I have to formally apologize to Guild Mcfob for my second post, assuming the whole guild was like the few problem makers. In an attempt to infiltrate the Mcfob compound for a pre -emptive strike by KOTA, which was a great idea, I came to a new conclusion about Mcfobs. They use Teamspeak as their primary choice of communication, and unlike the room full of corporate tychoons, plotting death on HG, I found a diverse group of real people, actual roleplayers, that enjoy the game like i do.I found that most of the bullshit said in the forums is actually the doings of a few people. I found that they arent even aware of how bad we see them. These things I found troubling, because you cant hold the masses responsible for the actions of a few. HG is hardly a religous sect. Furthermore, i cant see how I let myself assume what i did, and run with the crowd. I encourage everyone to log in to Teamspeak and see what im talking about. Infamy and his group have alot of positive ideas that compliment HG, and as we are expanding, rules and ideas also will change. Im personally looking forward to grouping with real people whom dont Powerlevel everyday, and dont hide behind their computers. My point is, you cant judge a Mcfob by the cover, but you CAN get to know one as a friend. Again i apologize for assaulting Mcfobs in my last post, i was out of line. As for the current inactive guild war, i plan on passing on the PvP until the PP and rules have been decided on for them. Most dont feel comfortable in a PvP war with the result of item loss. Its the rules yes, but i pass. Yuki.

Yuki, What a day it has been. I am glad to know you as a person, and now a friend. He originally came to us as a mole from Apocalypse, to spy on what we were talking about, and to send info back to said guilds. But I believe it got to a point with him that the whole situation was rediculous, and he called it like it was. He explained his purpose on our server. He explained what was bothering him, and who was doing it, and we met him right in the middle and did what it took to make things right for him. I was equally foolish to assume I knew anything about who Yuki was, and for that I can't say I am sorry enough (And that most certainly includes my posts in frustration against him). This is clearly a player who wants to have fun on HG, above anything else. I can only hope to learn from his example, as he is a role model for me and the people on this server. Yuki, all the kudos in the world. I can't thank you enough for coming to us, and becoming our friend. I am so happy Cheers, Infamy

It seems to me that all of KotA has had a change of hearts lately. Although there are a few McFobs who will remain anonymous that i still have scores to settle with, the majority of you seem like decent people. However after talking with my guildees this afternoon, it seems we would still be interested in a few scrimmages for fun between KotA and McFobs. If perhaps we could set up a time to chat about this in-game, it would be great. Leader of Guild Apocalypse ~Grudge

I am glad to hear it Grudge. If you would like to deal with the issues you have with the anonymous mcfobs, I should be back tonight around 9 EST. As always, TS is always available, and it has served as a very handy tool, as you can see from above.
I would love to engage in PVP with you guys, the key is that we should be on good terms doing it.
Eve, I will check my facts again and modify my post asap.
Cheers,
Infamy

It will take some time God693, and it can be done. But u gottta prove yourself somehow. You have apologised. But you need to gain peoples trust. It will not be an easy task. Not hard like beating SSissy, or hard like getting your first immo. Hard as in u will be frustrated by people whom cannot, Have not or do not want to see a change in you. I would suggest talking to some guild leaders (namely those for KotA and EO) and getting them to set u some kinda task or quest In reparation (you may not even feel you have anything to repair, But this will go a long way to helping your reputation). This may not end up being "bring me the head of every dragon" kinda quest. But more likely something like help some newbies around, or Forgo loot on a set number of runs or something equally challenging that you will feel when playing. But i will leave the details for them. I would not normally Game with you given previous experience. Im willing to accept that you have or are changing your behaviour. If you are set a task, I will attempt to accompany you to keep you on track if nessecary. I will sponsor your behaviour in groups and vouch for you. As long as you dont let me down. And if you find me in game during this time, i will party, even if it means leaving another group to do so. (as long as im not on a promise to help them or something). So if you choose to accept .....cheers! Heres to a fresh start! trix

Very refreshing to see a post like this.
I think one of the things that puts a lot of people off on the McFobs is that they pretty much take anyone in, as demonstrated by Yuki. However if they are teaching new HG players the ropes and the etiqutte we want players to have then thats is a good thing.
Of course opening themselves up to everyone will mean that occasionally end up with a bad apple but that bad apple would have played here anyways and maybe some of their charitable ideals may actually rub off.
Its nice to see everyone "Just get along."

Nice to see this thread!
Regarding the McFobs letting anyone in, this is not entirely true. The old coot McFobs who founded this group had 4 major principles in mind: 1)Joining the group would be fun 2)There would be no 'leader' ordering people around, etc 3)It would be fairly easy to join , the more the merrier, and 4)there wouldn't be a bunch of rules sucking the life out of the group. All of these principles were developed from past bad experiences the founding McFobs had with other gaming groups.
Thusly, we do sometimes let people join us who turn out to be jerks. I think that since the beginning, we have had one true jerk, and a couple of folks with issues. I think that is a pretty good track record considering our only real requirements to join are you group up with us and get to know us for a while before you make the decision to join, and that you must have another McFob invite you.
Adhering to these principles has made the McFobs a loyal and tightly bonded group, even though we are stuck with this Bubb guy who won't quit us, even though we have tried to drive him out so many times, too numerous to count. Maybe someday we will run that Bubb scurge out of the group on a rail, but, until that glorious day, we will carry on having fun, helping our brother and sister McFobs, and helping other folks we run into on HG.
Yers,
****
PS Down with Bubb!

Heh, I am glad that after you sold your soul for NWN2 and computer upgrades there was a little left to get a headset I think I will be waiting for this and other PWs to start showing up online before I take that plung. It is all about online play for me . Plus those sobs at bioware are writing for m$ now, so that leaves linux/mac users in the dust. Taking care of this on TS will be much easier. Does the rest of your guild have TS capability? -Infamy
