Greetings, for those of you who do not like stories or drama, skip to the end. If you do enjoy a good Yarn, please read the following and find out what has become of The Eternal Order, and The Reds....
The sun was just clearing the horizon as he saw him… DragonChyld gripped his staff tightly in his clawed hand and breathed a sigh of relief. It had been many moons since the DragonChyld had seen the one called the Lance, Leader of the Eternal Order. Yet the agreement still held. The alliance was strong. He knew his call would not be refused, no matter the distractions that called upon the Lances mind. The rumor had come to him from a whisper in a dark inn, the teller just babbling to his comrade about his travels and what he had heard. DragonChyld had listened to that story with growing alarm, for if the rumors were correct, and the Lance was indeed drifting father and father from this plane, who would take over leadership of the Eternal Order? Who would be strong enough to keep the Alliance safe? A flare of light caught his eye and brought him back to the present, the armor of Phalthallus having thrown the light upon his eyes. The proud warrior stood strong beside the Lance, his armor of the Order dancing with light upon its polished surface. DragonChyld smiled to see however that he gripped his staff tightly, for that was the mark of the Reds, and the Proud warrior was equally at home within the folds of the DragonChyld’s guild as well.
As the approaching host came to a halt at the meeting place the Reds swarmed amongst them, trading stories and rum, greeting old friends and comrades in arms. DragonChyld swelled with pride as he saw the Staves intermingled with the armor of the Order, and catching a glimpse of The Lance, he was proud to see his expression mirrored upon that weathered face.
The party and merriment having winded down, it was time to discuss the future. The Lance sat his massive frame upon the Ground before the fire, the DragonChyld taking a seat opposite him. Faces turned saddened as The Lance explained the draw of other realms, the hold it had upon him, and how he did not much longer think he could resist it. A worried murmur went though the assembled crowd. The DragonChyld had been awaiting this moment; he had worked too hard on the alliance between the two clans to see it fall apart in confusion. His deep voice resonated above the onlookers. His plan was simple. It was time for the two halves of the alliance to become one, to make something greater than the sum of its parts!! A new guild would be formed! A new evolution in the Alliance.
“Who will lead us?” “What will we be called?” the questions swarmed from the mouths of those gathered. When DragonChyld spoke silence descended, the words fell as rain upon the calm lake. A bony clawed finger extended itself outward, it pointed to the breast of the proud Phalthallus, “He will lead!” A hush settled upon the members of the new-formed guild, then a cheer went up as long time friends and comrades voiced their approval of the choice. Phalthallus spoke… “Will you not lead DragonChyld?” A smile crossed the lips of the one known as the DragonChyld. “I have served my time to the guild, and much has been accomplished under my rule, however, this is a new era, and calls for a new voice to lead us, that voice is you!”
A rousing cheer went up among the assembled throng, with cries of “What will we be called?” ringing out amongst the night. Phalthallus once more spoke, “We shall be called the Eternal Reds, both to honor our past, and to forge a new future!!! I will lead you though the brightest days and the darkest night! Together we shall be a force that no one has ever seen!!!!!!” a steady chant of “Eternal Reds” greeted this remark from the newest Leader of men amongst the Realms…………………
The Reds and EO have finally combined and created a New Guild called The Eternal Reds! I will leave it at that and allow from this point the newest Guild Leader on HG to explain further the details and roster! Good Gaming all!
