While I don't think I've ever seen a lvl 5 rare weapon (although I've found other useful rares at that level - lvl 9 haste items, the CoB and barkskin rings). I've definitely come across lvl 20 random weapons which are very useful at low levels. For some reason certain lvl 20 weapons keeps popping for us, like handaxe, warhammer and whip.

Aye, there are 4 sets of em. Thinking about upping loot drops at lower levels to help noobies and increase server loot diversity. Wouldn't affect the economy too much, I wouldn't think. Funky

I'll keep this short and somewhat sweet. I just discovered this PW and honestly, I just started getting back into NWN AGAIN and I really want to explore the MP possibilities. I've never dabbled with it. With that said, I have a queston about the world you all explore.
Group Loot: Is it free-for-all, round robin or?
I'll most certainly be logging in and creating a character regardless of the answer as HG sounds like a blast and it appears the community is rock solid.

when it comes to looting it is basically a party decision i mostly see peeps do one banker in party and split loot at the end of the run. at low levels sometimes i seen free for all but that was just carrying it until end.

Depending on who you play with at low levels, sometimes its everyone for themselves and other times (especially if its old players with new characters) there will be a banker with a split or they just skip loot altogether.
The usual procedure to split loot is that when everyone is finished playing, the banker will get a room at the Wandering Wyrm. Everything is put into a chest and the group leader rolls d100 for the group. Then you pick one item at a time on your turn until everyone is done. Whatever remains is then sold in the mass seller chest with gold being split equally among party members.

Nope, but you can tell by the level of items that are dropping in a given area what it's set at. Funky

But the only way to tell that is by logging in with a new(er) char and seeing the item level requirement, right?
Another question, i know that in an update a while ago the percentages for loot drops were changed, could you either edit the first post on this topic or add a new one with the updated drop %'s ?

Yeah I was going to say that...the problem is you cant see the lvl requirements after you pass that lvl...I have a lil troble judging the difficulty of some places...

Is there a better chance of getting UR loot with more people? ~God Yes, with 9 people in the group you have a 4% chance of getting a UR

Just to clarify with the loot, from reading the original post it seemed that while the percentage chance of loot spawning when you click on it increases the more people are in the party, the % chance of its rarity is fixed: "Legendary areas: 54% common 27% uncommon 15% rare 4% ultrarare in legendary areas" Does that mean if loot spawns, it will always be according to these percentages, or does the party size have any effect on these (e.g. will a party of 2 people have only a 2% chance of getting an UR while a party of 10 would have a 4% chance)? I had thought that party size only affected the chance of a placeable dropping loot, as opposed to the contents of that loot, which is why I was confused by Jillybeans post. If the number of people does affect the rarity of the loot, is it possible to have a rough outline as to how this is (e.g. what its like with 1 person, with 10, and whether its a linear progression?)

I modded the original post to add this: -In addition, there is an increased 2% chance of an item dropping in any given container, per additional party member, and a 1% rarity bonus for every 2 members past the first.
From the 6-26 update. Funky
