thanks for that direction, Its always appreciated. ok here is my addition for fky_chat_inc
// additions for fky_chat_misc
else if (GetStringLeft(sCText, 9) == "setshape ")//!setshape 1 .!setshape 2. !setshape 3 ... { sCText = GetStringRight(sCText, GetStringLength(sCText) - 9); int nShape= StringToInt(sCText); int nApperance=GetPersistantInt(oPC,"shape"+nShape,"pwdata");// call for the shape SetLocalString(oPC, "NWNX!CHAT!SUPRESS", "1"); //dont let people see text ApplyEffectToObject(DURATION_TYPE_INSTANT,EffectVisualEffect(VFX_FNF_SUMMON_MONSTER_2),oPC);//give them a summons visual SetCreatureAppearanceType(oPC,nAppearance); //setshape }
mind having a gander at thsi and the one above, making sure i used all the correct existing variables? I think its right, this should do the trick,, if it works ill maybe try a phenotype flight command

I would just playtest it if I were you. Without much more verbose comments, it's impossible to tell whether it'll do what you intend. Funky

Quick question, was !wpso (sonic) was omitted from the weapon visuals? Or did I just not see it? It isn't listed in the Vault feature list and I don't see it defined in fky_chat_inc. I did a quick search here but didn't get any hits for "sonic" aside from one unrelated thread. If that's not in the standard install, could you throw up a quick 3.12 with it added? It must be a pretty easy change but I don't know every spot it would need to be added... I know it would need to be added to the !list commands section and of course the command section itself... not sure if there's another place it would be mentioned. Also I noticed on some threads you mention using version 24 of the LetoScript.dll - the one in your base install appears to be version 0.4.0.16 (downloaded the 3.1 package from the Vault) ... Which would you recommend and where's the best place to get that specific version? Maybe I'm just not reading this through right... but if you could clear those up for me I'd much appreciate it. I posted it under the features suggestions because from what I can tell, they need to be added. If I'm just smoking crack again, feel free to move this to an appropriate thread.

Sonic was left out deliberately in the scripts I based those commands off of, because of graphics lag. That IS probably much less an issue with today's graphics cards, however. Feel free to add it if you like; I may in a future update but it's definitely not worth updating for by itself. Aside from the command and the list commands, you would only have to make further changes if you are running linux and using the command popups. I'll be happy to help if you like, just post any questions you may have here. Funky

hi funky. didnt think you be very interested in this idea, but was wondering if you could post some code to patch a script with to make this idea work. in short, player uses the command "!partyportal". basically, if the sender of the tell is in the same party as the reciever of the tell, port sender to reciever. also it check the areas the sender/receiver are in against a list of areas based on the area's tagname before it allows the sender to be teleported to reciever. if the area's tagname is on that list, abort the teleporting. think you can post some code an lend a hand? appreciate it very much if you can

You should be able to borrow directly from the dm_port commands to do this. Funky

i am brand spanking new to simtools ive just started using it on a new server that I am a player on. But there are a few requests for the new version if your still looking at practical requests.
(bear in mind these may or many not have been mentioned by other post-makers in prior posts.)
Saving throws; that work just like !skillcheck ()() Ability checks; that also work like !skillcheck ()()
Item Properties: that work like the !wpac, !wpco, !wpev, ect.. However, The Item Properties should be able to be added only by a registered dm. but this would allow DM's to make up unique items on the fly, and would be an amazing tool to have.
Just some Ideas. Issac

A few things I'd love to see...
1) The voice thrower to store the variables somewhere different. If you use the item on an NPC, then possess another NPC, it says the target isn't set.
2) Voice thrower to be expanded some to go with the above mentioned. The ability to use it on multiple NPCs and assign them all a reference # would be great. example: being able to type /1, /2, /3, /4 ... this way you could have maybe 3-4 different NPCs all set up and ready to have a voice thrown to them saving nearly all need to switch NPCs you're possessing/DMing.
3) setname to work with NPCs.

One is a solid possibiliy. Two and three, less likely, but maybe, it'll depend in part on how much time I have free with updating both SIMTools and the LL System.

just a thought but on my PW i altered simtools to add in another waypoint. My DM's have a set area for dealing with player issues called DMCHambers. perhaps making a static waypoint like your jail, town, hell, would be benificial to others as well. Mine is setup as WPDMCHAMBERS and command is dm_portchambers
also i am adding in a new system for dm's to reward players that rp in dm held events as well. with xp, gold, and token items. (my tokens are stored persistently with an item to call a dialog to view the details.)

Thanks for the idea. Just so you know, there's still an updated version planned for 1.69, that I've been putting off in hope that bioware finishes localization for non-english patches, that will add an easy interface for using local commands.

Might as well shoot the moon!
1. a PC voice thrower command usable on Summons/familars so pcs can chat as their familiars. 2. The Means for DMs to understand spoken langugaes while possessing npcs { or if this is avialable not a primer on it} 3. Ditto !skillcheck saving throws or abilitity checks 4. Ditto a wand of naming for items placables npcs. 5. maybe hitting on chat for the means of imprinting descriptions in items or on pcs as well if such functionality is hand in hand with whats there.
still one of the best tools I wont make a PW without it... Thankyou!
