It's hosted at dl.hgweb.org. Hopefully we'll have a newer one before too long.

Thanks for the updated map FYI: I had to run the map through IrfanView (or use your choice of JPG editor), and make a negative of the JPG. You ask why Hmm lets see three pages of 11x17 paper with a black background, how much ink do I need to order from Staples. Yep, did not want to waste too much black ink. But other than the negative image conversation, that is one GREAT FANTASTIC map. Those of us new to HG really appreciate it ;D Thank you very much. Steve Good Soon to be making a caster that can't aim (is that a broad side of a barn I see or a party member)

The map isn't updated yet, though it's close to done, just pending a few fixes, since the map generator we used kicks out tropical tilesets with a red haze.

Is there any way to get the individual elements seperated. I do love the map but to me its extreamly confusing since the orientation of some of the elements arnt exactly right, and misleading as to which way you should to go get somewhere. With the seperate elements i might be able to put to gether one that is more readable.

I think that is to avoid it being too spoiler-ish.
As an aside, an update may be in order; lots of new areas have been added.

Well having a map to start with is a spoiler, and if we didn't want that we wouldn't look at the map at all. but for some reason im finding it extremely hard to even figure out what to do, since i cant seem to find any indication of some sort of direction. of course im new here and don't know my way around too. But i fell a map should be just that, a map and not a puzzle.

Certainly the map shows a lot of information. I view it more as a resource for reminder or help once someone has played the game, not as a perfect guide map for someone who hasn't ever been to the places. Not to say it couldn't be improved I suppose, but AFAIK it was never intended to be any sort of 'where to go now' guide for a new player.
It's a bit over a year old and there are quite a few new areas. I suggested at the time that the file be made with layers in Photoshop or Gimp to make adding new areas easier, so one could easily move areas around in a group, and the background and text could be easily changed. Without something done with layers it's probably easier just to restart from scratch. I don't know if it that got done -- all I saw is the final PNG, but I can generate the minimaps again.

well, if the person who made the map made it using layers, im fairly sure theres an ogrish version still... the new editor could then be sent the oinionlike version and update it
