I have now spent some time on HG and managed to get my first character into the thirties range. As I approach 40 I am questioning my build. So far I have 28 levels of ranger and 6 levels of rogue. I was planning to do a 32/8 split.
I am hearing a lot about Epic Dodge though, and wondering if I can get at it.
In short, if I take the tenth level of Rogue at level 40, is there a way to get the needed defensive roll and improved evasion in legendary levels?

Nope. The only way to get the feat requirements for epic dodge with only 10 levels is with 10 levels of Shadow Dancer. If you wanted to stay with rogue, you would have to take 13 levels to get those feats, one at 10 and the other at 13.

I'd get 10 Rogue levels for improved evasion and then at least you can use self conceal (assuming you taken enough hide and tumble) as this works against every attack and not just the first successful one. The combination of epic dodge and self conceal is impressive but self conceal 5 on its own is pretty good.
