Finally updated . For Starlandra, it is like DD bonus. It counts toward the 20 dodge cap. Although, if some creature decrease your dodge AC, you can easily fill it up.

DD bonus is natural armor, not dodge.

Yep. I mean that it is counted to the 20 cap. RDD's bonus is not.

so if you have 47-50 levels of sd the +14 ac will not stat with a +16 amulet you may have on then correct?

The SD's Dodge AC bonus doesn't affect Natural AC Bonus you have. It affects ONLY the Dodge AC from your boots and Haste (+4). If you have +16 boots and haste on, you get the +20 bonus already, so SD bonus is useless for you. But, you will probably use HS's boots which have +12 dodge bonus, that means SD will give you 4 points. Some creatures decrease your Dodge AC too, so here comes your SD Bonus handy. (Then of course your Dodge AC affect some spells like Mage Armor, Epic Mage Armor, Bardsong, Undead's Ethernal ?fear? and so)
