I'm starting a mino build where I can use Scythe and Shield. I think this is all setup right but if you go by most of the comments people left here, I went (@20) this path.
Mino Level Progression: 8Fighter/ 10WM/ 2Fighter/ 1WM/ 1rogue/ 8WM/ 6fighter/ 1rogue/ 2fighter/ 1rogue
Pre-epic Feats: Weapon Proficiency exotic Ambidexterity Weapon focus: Scythe dodge Mobility expertise Spring Attack Whirlwind attack Toughness Weapon of choice Scythe Two-Weapon Fighting Improved Two Weapon Fighting Blind Fight Improved critical scythe Weapon specialization scythe
[Reworded] - What works with minotaur? All Large weapons? What am I restricted too? The large race shouldn't be restricted to anything?
** I love your build mish and I'm happy you posted this one, I was looking for a good str build on the NWN forums to tear apart but I like your build better than most.

You won't be able to dual-wield a scythe (trust me, I tried that), so those three feats won't do much for you unless you plan to pick up another WoC.

As a mino, consider taking your 2nd WoC in heavy flails. the 19-20 threat range and bludgeoning damage would make an excellent secondary for a scythe primary. Also nice is that many people don't use heavy flails, making them relatively easy to trade for.

Your AC wont be good enough in most post immo areas to dual wield as a strength build. I managed to get my spear WM up to about 107/108 using improved expertise with no shield, I dont think strength builds can get much higher without cleric help or a tumble class as the control class.

I tried putting on both at level 2, and it didn't work? Thanks again =)

He's not suggesting you dual it, he's suggesting it as a backup weapon choice. Funky

You can not dual-wield any large weapons, since the interface wasn't designed to handle large PCs. You should, however, be able to dual-wield medium weapons with only the light weapon penalty (-2 after the feats).
As FlashHeart said, though, your opportunities to dual-wield in a Str build will be limited.

I didn't know you couldn't duel weild two large weapons as a large race.

I think the problem preventing that is that the offhand box isn't big enough for most large weapons.... But the spear is only 1x4 squares and it DOES work in the offhand for large creatures.
-EDIT- As far as I could test with my mino druid with martial proficiency, the spear is the only large weapon that can be dual-wielded. I have seen a half-ogre shapestrong barbarian once that used a double bladed sword in one hand and a longsword in the other. Maybe its possible to use a double bladed weapon to dual wield while still using a shield. Anyone want to test this? I could see a possible craze of dualwielding/shield minos in the future.

I was all set to take up scythe as my primary, and Spear has 1d8 3x which isn't that bad, slash and pierce? For most area's I'll be just going Scythe and Shield. Then in those easy area's, I'll duel weild for fun.
Mish just forced me to change my entire build because I love the idea of having more atks with best AC. You can weild double bladed weapons with a shield. So I think I might focus in using Double Bladed Falchion, and Dire Mace
Now my question is, are there any higher level weapons for Double Bladed Falcion and Dire Mace? Or do I need to change them because of this reason?

No, my Mino uses a Double bladed sword for more attacks, and you lose those attacks when you equip a shield. Probably something in the programming stating that if you have a shield equipped you lose any off-hand attacks. And before someone asks, the same rules apply to wielding more than one weapon--if your primary weapon is double-sided, you only get the double-sided off-hand benefits if you have nothing equipped offhand.

If you really want to dual wield while keeping your defenses maxed, consider making a bard/monk of some type. With the up to 85/90% concealment when not using a shield, high dex and wisdom AC, bards make natural dual wielders. Damage isnt bad actually with decent crit range weapons either.

I totally agree, so here is my idea behind the mino build, let me know what you think. Mino Build ----------------------- Stats: STR 16 (20 with mino) DEX 15 (13) CON 14 WIS 8 (10) INT 14 CHA 8 (4) Level Progression: 6 fighter/10 WM/4 fighter/1 WM/1 rogue/8 WM/6 fighter/1 rogue/2 fighter/1 rogue Pre-Epic Feats: Weapon focus: Heavy Flail , dodge, expertise (1st level) Mobility Toughness Spring Attack Whirlwind attack Weapon Proficiency exotic Weapon of choice Heavy Flail Improved critical Heavy Flail Blind Fight Weapon Focus Scythe Improved critical Scythe Weapon specialization Scythe Disarm Epic Feats: Great STR 1 Great STR 2 Weapon of Choice scythe Great STR 3 Epic Weapon focus scythe Great STR 4 Epic Prowess Epic Weapon Specialization scythe Great STR 5 Epic Weapon focus Heavy Flail Great STR 6 Armor Skin Improved Disarm Improved Power attack Legendary Feats: Great STR 7-8 Epic Fort Epic Reflexes Epic Will Improved Expertise Knockdown
