This is my first attempt at doing a character build workup, normally i just make my char as I go, however I thought I would give it a shot. If you think it sucks please keep the critisism contructive, I am in a learning process here
Idea: I wanted to build a STR Based Assassin, so I put alot of thought into it.
Race: Drider. The reason? I wanted a large race because I wanted to be able to use a scyth for this character however since it is a large weapon and this is a str build I thought it best to make it a large character so he can use the scythe AND a Tower shield. I settled on Drider due to the fact that The hit on Int is less than that of a troll AND you get immunity to posions, Blind fight and the ability to walk on quicksand, the troll just gives you regen +3 which pretty much sucks after level 10.
Classes: Barbarian. Some people could have went for fighter with this. I choose Barbarian because first of all the large race is slower and the barb gives a boost back to speed 10%. Also cause the Assassin lacks decent HP die, and that D12 even if only for 8 levels is nice, also you get the Rage 3x a day at 8th level which is nice. Rogue is reguired to get the Ass as you can't do it by 10th level CC skills. Assassin is obvious.
Here is the breakdown of the skills and Feats and ability scores.
Advancement by level is Barb8/Rogue2/Ass30 MUST BE IN ORDER
The average person will want to take the 2 levels of rogue first however the skill points will not work out right because of CC to get ass by 11.
STATS Half Elf/Drider/40
STR 18/19/33
DEX 12/12/12 Full Plate allows DEX bonus of 1
CON 16/16/16
INT 8/7/7
WIS 8/9/9
CHA 8/8/8

AC @ 40 with basic +10 gear 82 No buffs
AB Naked @ 40 = 37/32/27/22

In closing, You might substitute great cleave with toughness Also you might sacrafice your level 4 stat point in STR and put it in INT giving you 1 more Skill point a level and instead of UMD put the points in Open Lock and Disable Trap.
Any pointers from you experinced char builders would be welcome, also what you think of the build since it is my first try.
