The Redeemed of Tyr
(55 Cleric/3 Paladin/2 Fighter)
This build is a buff dependant divine warrior that specializes in close combat. Unlike other clerics that rely on the power of his/her spells to kill enemies, this cleric relies on spells to improve his/her own ability to fight and survive. This warrior also has access to the extended Greater Restoration spell, which essentially allows you to be penalty free in some of the harder areas of the game and has a long lasting critical immune buff once your base strength reaches 40 (Aura against alignment). Keep in mind that this is an open subrace version of the build and designed for pre-hells areas.
This build has been modified to get rid of the XP penalty and to be more playable in general than the old Drider version. Keep in mind that this character can be used later to reincarnate into a Fallen Angel or Pharlan version which would include free Divine Might. Upgrading to these subraces will add unresistable divine damage to each hit. In the mean time this is a very easy character to play and level since you have some very powerful buffs to work with.
In your travels keep an eye out for breach boots and anti breach and mords rings. These are essential to possess for this kind of fighter, since your live and die by your buffs. This character will wear primarily heavy armor, which tends to be the easiest armor type to find. Moreover, you will want to obtain items with the Epic Warding spell. When used with the Gate spell, this will make your character very difficult to kill.
Gnome will mean that you will be limited to small or tiny weapons. Also, at level 41 you will be given 2 extra skill points per level which will help you round out your skills.
Base race: Gnome
Subrace: "Svirfneblin" FC: Cleric
Alignment: Lawful Good
- base SR0 +1/lvl, CON -2, CHA -2, DEX +2, WIS +2, free feat: Darkvision, saves +2, listen +2, hide +2, speaks Undercommon, speaks Svirfneblin
