Way of the Storm
(58 Druid/1 Paladin/1 Monk)
This is an open subrace druid made to function well in any legendary level area. I do not think it is possible to create an open subrace druid that can excel in the deeper Hells levels of the mod. In my opinion to really excel in the deep hells a druid needs the ability to greater sanctuary and have an overall wisdom score of at least 66. Having an epic spell focus in Abjuration is also very helpful for the deep layers of the Hells area for the toughest bosses and monsters. Unfortunately, an open subrace druid cannot afford any of the above. This druid will be able to survive and contribute in the hells, but with some difficulty.
In any other area of the mod this druid will be a terror. Laying waste to whole screens of monsters at a time. It has decent saves and three of the most important epic focuses. Once you are able to locate and obtain the epic spells for those focuses this druid will be a sought after commodity in many groups. This druid cannot afford the Natures Frailty epic, so it will be totally dependant on the Nature’s Balance spell for SR dropping. Also, keep in mind that your barkskin spell (especially once you obtain Legendary Spell Focus (Transmutation)) will be an uber AC buff for any companion monsters and for any shifters in your group. Druid spells on HG have undergone many customizations. Learn what each spell can do for you.
This build includes two splash classes. The monk level will grant the druid evasion (this feat makes your character more resistant to reflex type attacks) and extra AC. On HG druids with a monk level can get this extra AC if they area wearing light armor (Base AC 1-3). Due to this change druids have excellent ACs relative to other casters. The paladin level grants the druid some much needed saves. So, long as the druid remain at a Good alignment their charisma modifier will be added to their saves (a possible +5 to all saves). Legendary levels are generic levels to some extent and do not have alignment requirements. You can change your alignment to a Good alignment safely any time after level 39.

Spell Penetration, spell penetration feats are some of the most important to take on the server. High level monster SR’s are customized assuming you have taken all 4 spell penetration feats and have close to 60 caster levels. This is the 1st of 4 spell penetration feats. Failure to take these feats will cause your caster’s spells to bounce harmlessly off most monsters in high level areas.

Feat: Metamagic (Extend Spell)
Metamagic (Silent Spell), spells cast “silent” are able to be cast even when your character is silenced. There are several places in the mod where this ability is very nice to have. Silent also gives you the option to memorize a spell on a tier one tier higher than its base level. So, you can take more than one tier of a particular spell. You will have more of the spells that work best in a particular area at your disposal and less waste. You will need to install the HG Enhanced hak to get the full selection of spells to be available on this tier.
