I don't see why not. I'm convinced that a party of 10 could conquer the hells (all non demi characters) with an all open subrace party. But, you will be sub optimum. You can make up for that by playing well . You still have shunt, immute, and a chance to land natures balance also. Tyran

When taking the Paladin splash, if you change to Lawful Good for the level, then change to Neutral Good after taking the level, you retain the Paladin save bonuses while still being able to advance as a Druid.

Keep in mind Tyran says excelling in Hells has those requirements however to succeed in the completion of Hells and the achievement of 1x Demi it takes skill more than it does a "proper" build and gear setup. Im not sure about double demi but 1x Demi I believe is as Tyran said an achievable goal for an all open sub team of non-demis. Throw in demis and difficulty rises and falls but more so rises from what I can tell.

Yojimbo, I agree completely. From a practical point, I am working up a toon on this build right now. It is definitely a learning experience.
My point was just a tweak for getting more out of the character in the non-LL areas. By flipping from LG to NG, the Pali saves stay active, making the character more survivable. You still, when taking the monk level, need to flip to Lawful. After that, you don't HAVE to make changes to play, although I would again change to NG for asthetics.

Is this build still viable?

It's far from optimal. Even with paladin, it has low saves. the low str/dex also cause some problems later on. Overall druids don't contribute with as much damage anymore, so school choices are not up to date.

Dryadkin is an open sub, so options are limited no matter what you do. Pick either one up here and then aim straight for getting Kenku (Secret Subrace) as your next bump up. That can be obtained quite easily and will afford you a lot more flexibility in the route you build your toon.

Kenku and FA are pretty much equivalent from a casting point of view as the free spell focus feat equates to the fact FA +5 Wisdom allows you to drop 1 Great Wisdom (swapping for a SF feat) and end up with the same final caster stat. If you want to reincarnate as a Kenku come and see me as I have loads of the items you need to perform this upgrade.

It's far from optimal. . . . Overall druids don't contribute with as much damage anymore, so school choices are not up to date. while i agree the build is far from optimal (never was, but moving on), i actually would disagree with the damage comment. if anything the opposite is true imo, far more recently than back when this build was posted. to elaborate, imo "back then" conj was a wack choice to invest deeply in, generally popular due to rilmani bonus & lowbie/LL ease & ppl not knowing/willing to work to play druid to full potential in LL+. whereas now, in fact druids actually do end up being damage sources a decent bit even in endgame, with some spell buffs and mob stat changes having tweaked the picture slightly. i wouldn't jump down a druid's throat for going conj atm, where i would have some years ago, anyway. conj holds its own atm as dmg for druids since icestorm and fireshits got buffed, whereas before it was imo the lazy "crowd control" + ele swarm + summons choice. now it's legit for dmg even in hells+.
